I'm 21, female, graduating in a few weeks.

I first started doing latch hook when I was pretty young - alittle less than 10 years ago. My grandfather got me started with it - he was made a rug for my newly born cousin. My dad also used to latch hook - he has this really amazing rug of a sailboat he did. ( Here's a little peak at it )

Me too :) Granted, it may not be the most popular craft, but I'm sure there are some closet-latch-hooker's out there :P

Mostly, because I always feel like I am the only one out there that still does the latch hook thing! Anyway, I've been doing it on and off since I was a kid. Mostly, my frustration has been that the designs are all Disney or other cartoon characters. However, thanks to ebay, I recently started a "real" canvas of lions. However, there is a discrepancy b/t the canvas and the grid, so I'm very frustrated, but I do it a little at a time. It's huge.. It'll probably take me years to finish!!

Shillcraft.com has some awesome designs and there yarn and canvas are much better quality.

Yeah - I noticed Disney just kinda dominates the patterns now. I'd really like to find an Eeyore that doesn't look so kiddish, because Eeyore's my fave character.. but I haven't come across anything decent.

I'd love to find something that has sun/moon/stars as a design. But I really need to finish my other one first! I have a habit of buying lots of projects.. I have at least 5 cross-stitchings going on right now. It's hard to focus on just one sometimes.

I think when I did my ebay search there was a stars and moon one, so you should try looking...

Also, I do latch hook b/c I don't have good enough hand/eye coordination to do cross stitch! I wish I did. They always look so beautiful to me.

As far as Disney, I really want an Ariel, from the LITTLE MERMAID, but it seems that there are only Pooh characters along with the traditional Mickey and Donald.
