it's been interesting to see your votes and read your comments. Seems like SMS has made some headways in the U.S. especially over the last year or two, but mobile IM is still behind. I guess that data plans are still too pricey, and the experience on most phones is still pretty abysmal

As for inflation, usually inflation is relatively tied with changes in salary - when prices go up, it takes a while, but eventually salaries are adjusted, unless there is a dramatic change in exchange rates, like what happened in Europe with the transition to Euro.
In any case, going back to tech subject. I guess that you're not using mobile media as much because of price, and I can totally understand that. Every month when I find myself paying around $150 to T-Mobile it totally gets on my nerves. But in the long terms, I do believe that costs are bound to drop. That's the nature of things.
