I normally wake up to my alarm, which is always is set at least and hour or more before I actually NEED to get up, and hit the snooze button on it at least 3 times often rendering the whole thing pointless, waking up with 15 mintues to be where I need to be and a 30 minute walk between me and there.

I'll often jump on the tube or into a taxi (but only if i've got a planned meeting with a specific time and tend to get to my desination with minutes to spare.

Most of the day my phone is spent in my left pocket, although at lunchtimes or before I leave the flat, i'll call my friends Hannah and Micheal to arrange lunch, other than that it stays in my pocket for most of the day.

As i'm normally with my friends at the art school for most of the day, if we have any evening plans we'll arrange them in person or over the phone, using text messages to see where we are, or why we're late. If i'm meeting at my friend michael's flat/dorm, i'll normally buzz him on my phone just before i reach his door so i don't have to wait outside, although I normally get in and up to his door before he comes down.

In the evenings my phone changes it uses depending what i'm doing. If i'm at home, it'll normally sit charging, or a might play a game for a while till i start losing, normally whilst checking my vitals, such as emails, lj, myspace and a variety of music blogs. My parents may ring me on it for a chat or to relay information although normally both.

If i'm out, my phone becomes more of a digital camera, I have a 3.2 cybershot camera on my SE K800i and have found the the resolution is perfectly fine for cheap and cheerful snapshots, I think that some of these overzelous phones like the N95 have far to many useless features, most people are never going to print their snapshots to a size that they're going to need a 5MP camera. Although as mentioned above, it's also used as a 'tracking' device, ringing friends to find out what's going on etc if needed.

I like my phone, i personally think it's probably the perfect combination of phone and camera I've seen. One doesn't infringe on the other, It's a shame that my network operator has branded the phone which has blocked some of it's more useful features such as being able to connect to a wireless network at home over a bluetooth PAN.

occasionally i sync it with my iBook over bluetooth, although after my computer crashed and lost my calander i haven't bothered to update or use it as much, as now the summers here, most of my structured timetable has gone.

I can customise it to my liking, on my last phone i had photos for many of my friends, although taken from professional camera's rather than the one on the phone but i haven't got around to doing that yet and I have currently created an "american astronaut" theme on my phone using snippets from the tracks to make the ring and message tones, although i keep my alarm as the annoying nokia 'glume' as it's the only think the wakes me up.

Thanks for this detailed sharing. With your "tube" and "flat" as well as "carrier branded cellphone" I assume you live in London...

Got ya. I guess it's my ignorance about how far "tube" and "flat" extend beyond the British borders...
