Disney

So Disney went well. They even gave us a free upgrade on our room. Tons of fun. So yeah. I have decided that Magic Kingdom is most definitely geared towards kids. I guess the fact that some of the stuff I liked (such as the Aliens encounter ride) were closed for renovations (or something) didn't help. Oh well. It was still fun. They had some new stuff. Mickey's Philharmagic was good; very enjoyable even if kids oriented. And the fireworks display at night was nice. So the next day, we went to Universal Studios. That was a blast! My mom doesn't do roller coasters, so we didn't do Islands of Adventures, but that's fine. There was plenty to do anyways, and the crowds weren't as big, so most of the things had small wait times. The rides were, in general, more enjoyable. And the jokes were funny...sure, the kids didn't get them, but that's ok. I especially liked the intro into the Shrek 4d thing...you know, the big room you're herded into where they tell you blah blah, move to the left, blah blah, no flash photography, etc, etc. Well here, there were jokes, and prisoners, and the magic mirror telling you in a jubilant voice that if you don't follow directions, you will be flogged, and if you use flash photography, you shall be burned at the stake! And the shows were good. We only got to see two of them, but that's fine. That just means we have to go back :) The Ghost-busters featuring Beetlejuice, and the Blues Brothers. Good stuff. I could just go on and on, but I won't. Ok, so afterwards, we left, and my Dad and I went to Disney Quest. More good times. Designing roller coasters, oooooold arcade games, VR, creating songs, and more and more. So it was good. And then yesterday, I got to see Kris Van, who I haven't seen in years. He seems to be doing well. He had his two year anniversary with his girlfriend on Saturday. Still going to school, still working for domino's. He's big, but then that family is big in general...and at least he hasn't gotten as big as Patrick. So yeah, he came and took me to breakfast, and we did some catching up. Afterwards, we went shopping in downtown disney, and had lunch at Bongos. Fantastic I tells ya. And now I'm back. Back here and delving into the boring routine again. Oh well, the diversion was fun while it lasted, no?
