Self-Reminder

Nov 29, 2004 22:50

this is just a little reminder to myself, because I haven't done as much writing as I should have lately, and there are a few things I have been meaning to write about

I find that the ideal course for thought is for it to start as just that - thought - and develope by being written about, so here is my reminder for what I want to write about in the near future:

1. Time. Obviously relative. But just how relative can it be speaking in relativity's most literal sense?
2. Socialization in general, with particular attention towards the concept of trust. Positive and negative effects.
3. The concepts of over-simplification and over-complexation, how they are related, and how they are often misconcieved due to the unrealized universality relativity.

In case you haven't realized, I find relativity effects basically everything.

And since I haven't really written anything here, here's an amusing little anecdote to think about:

"To love is to suffer.
To avoid suffering, one must not love.
But then, one suffers from not loving.
Therefore, to love is to suffer; not to love is to suffer; to suffer is to suffer.
To be happy is to love.
To be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy.
Therefore, to be happy, one must love or love to suffer or suffer from too much happiness."
- Woody Allen

And with that I bid you a good night :)
