Brauchen Sie Substi?
Alas! here ends my study abroad/summer stay/ultimate vacation/6 months in Vienna, le sigh :o(. Sorry to all who were expecting endless posts and updates on my experiences here, but try to understand that without a laptop this day and age, it's a little tough to come by a computer and unlimited and/or free internet. I return home tomorrow night so sometime after that, I promise to make up for my deficiencies and write a mega post or a lot of mini posts with PICTURES!
Anyway, right now, I'm just waiting for Konrad to check me out of my room, which isn't until another hour. Fuck, I leave here in less than 24 hours! I have to admit, I'm a little nervous coming back to the states because of how out of the loop I am. Hell, I can't even navigate my way through livejournal anymore! And I'm also really sad because this is almost like leaving my first home outside of home. But at the same time, I'm really excited to go back home, see all of my friends (both new and old), drive my car, and sleep in my comfy bed with my dog right next to me :o3.
I think I'm also excited to go back because of timing. Everything just kind of seemed to fall into place perfectly. After my brother left, I started on my backpacking adventure around Europe (which was AWESOME!!! Will have to reserve a post or posts on all that), then my parents came, we travelled around again, and then we came back to Vienna to pack and end the trip, last night, with a stellar performance of "La Boheme". In fact, it was sooo good that I almost cried because I knew that I'd be missing this and everything else Vienna had to offer. Now, I'm tired and ready to rest in the comfort of my own home, amongst friends and family<3. And with school starting soon, everyone else is returning to Seattle, so it'll almost be like one big homecoming and I can't wait!
