well, i'm finally in tokyo :). i haven't really had a chance to go exploring, although i did just come back from a 2 hour walk to shinjuku and back to yoyogi. who knew everything closed at 9? all of the singles are depressing. each single consists of a tiny square with a bed, a desk, a small trash can, a chair, 2 hangers, and curtains. no drawers or anything. i think the most surprising thing thus far is the onsen. where you basically shower in the nude with everyone else. i'm really exhausted from walking around all day. i discovered that while there is wireless internet, it's not very good. and i don't have a cell phone yet.
