Summary: He’d promised it many times, and many times he’d failed to keep it. But this time Sam had made sure he’s keep it, and in Dean’s eyes there wasn’t only pain, while he turned his back to the flames enveloping his brother’s body: there was anger, and fear, and despair. And a plan. Because Sam and Dean were one, and going on without his brother was unthinkable.
