I think is a adorable baby boy. I could see it in the very few minutes it lasted during the pilot and where they were in heaven and also all this bravado, macho man stunt its just a cover for his love, caring , vulnerable heart. I love Dean Winchester and his many layers.

Yes I agree Dean has multiple layers and while he's a badass in general underneath it all he's a very loving person whose innocence was stripped away from him at a very young age and with little choice but to bottle up those feelings he has and carry on living.

That's why I think he would look back on this fondly as it represents a happier time when his world wasn't consumed by loss and grief.
