A Dean-focused h/c Tags Challenge
(for authors, artists, etc.),
the sign-up post

Helloooo. A full explanation, schedule and set of guidelines for this challenge can be found HERE.

This is the sign-up post. All authors/artists/etc. that wish to participate in this challenge can sign up for it in this post anytime from right now through to August 10th.

Just a few guidelines for signing up:

  • If you’d like to play, all you have to do is reply to this post any time before August 10th, saying so. You will then be given three hurt/comfort prompts from our full tags-list and will have to write/create for one of them. The full tags-list is available for viewing here, and the hurt/comfort prompts I’m referring to include anything under the headings of ‘Dean-centric h/c tags, A-Z’ and ‘Bonus Tags.’

I’ll be using a list randomizer to pick your prompts, btw.
  • If you wish, you can let me know in your comment one to three prompts or categories of prompts that are triggery for you/you’d rather not create for, and I’ll make sure you don’t get them. For example, you could veto ‘physical assault/abuse’ and/or all prompts involving substance abuse.
  • I’m giving more leeway to arists/vidders/etc., since I know some of these prompts are tough for those mediums. So, if you’d be doing only art/vids/anything but fic and are concerned about the prompts being translatable, you can let me know in your comment and I’ll pick the first three prompts in your list that I feel would work for that medium, and discard the others.
  • How many times can I play, and how can I do it?

If you finish and post a challenge fanwork to the comm, you can then ask for a new set of prompts here in the sign-up post. You can do this anytime until the sign-up period is over on August 10th. You will then be given another, separate set of three hurt/comfort prompts from our full tags-list, and will then have to write/create for one of them.

There’s no limit for how many times you can do this/participate in this challenge, however you must have completed/posted each challenge before you request a new set of prompts/play again. ;)

Can I get a new group of prompts if mine doesn’t work for me?

The point of this challenge is to push your boundaries and go down some roads you might not have otherwise, so generally, no. However, if you receive a prompt that’s triggery for you, let me know and we can work something out there for sure.

Also, uhhhh, like I said above, I’m a little concerned if you’re doing art only that some of these prompts might not lend themselves to that medium/be too abstract, so if that’s the case, let me know, and we’ll fix that up too.

You can ask any questions you may have back at the main challenge page, or else PM me/e-mail me at hoodietime [at] gmail [dot] com.

ETA: This post is now closed for sign-ups. Thanks, everyone!
