let it snow let it snow let it snow!
We have about an inch or so of snow on the ground. Jakob absolutely LOVES it. He laughed every time a snowflake hit his face. I can't wait till Ethan gets home and tells me about his day... he must've had so much fun at school with the snow.
I'm getting really excited about Christmas... It's my first Christmas in the house... away from my folks... Jakob's first... just a whole bunch of new stuff this year... it adds to the excitement.
Anyway - things are still going really well here. Nothing is completely settled down... we're still getting ready for the big day that we start working on the house, but for now it's fine, and we're happy. I'm just glad this house isn't as bad as the last, and we don't have to rip down walls, and gut the whole thing. It'll be a little simpler... I think the only big job will be the basement with the flooring and the walls n stuff. I can't wait to get rid of the hideous 1970's carpeting. Thank goodness the burlap wallpaper is gone. I wonder who thought putting a big blue potato sack on the wall was a good idea.
We'll probably sell it in the end. The price of this house was a killer deal... and there's lots of money to be made on it. Talk of moving out east has been brought up quite a few times... it seems like a good idea, but I dunno... I like the area... I like the school Ethan's going to... I like everything about this place - besides the fact that Rob can't run his own business out of here - which is pretty much the reason why we'd move. We'll see.
