Hollie took a deep breath and reached for the top. She opened it quickly hoping all the foulness would just shoot out and dissipate immediately after. A green cloud escaped into the sky above. She let out her breath and took another. Shit! There was still a smell. It overwhelmed her and she fainted

Rainy heard a loud BANG and quickly jumped into the hole. Hollie just lay there unconscious. She bent down to check on her. With one arm around her upper body and one holding her head, she gently lifted her. The arm that was holding Hollie's head was starting to become damp. She shone her flashlight to see what was happening. Blood! Her arm was soaked at this point. She quickly check for a pulse and breathing. Nothing. Tightening her grip and pulling her closer Rainy raised her head towards the sky and began to yell.

"WHY? WHY HER? WHY NOW? WHYYYYYYYY???"

Not even waiting for the answer she buried her head into Hollie’s neck muffling her crying. Her grip tightened even more as she rocked back and forth. She would never let her go.

After a few minutes Jenny shouted into the hole, “What is going on? Is the body ready to be brought up?!”

Rainy composed herself and tied the ropes to Hollie. If she was going to die then it wouldn’t be in vain. She signaled Jenny and Emma to pull up the body. To their surprise it was Hollie’s and not some rotten three year old corpse.

A voiced flashed through Jenny’s mind, “I need the most recently dead corpses you can find. The success of the ritual depends on their freshness.” Jenny fought back her smile and instead did a little dance in her head. There will be sexytimes for sure now.

Rainy closed up the casket and pulled herself back up to the surface. The other two had already prepared Hollie’s body for transportation. They filled the hole back up and made their way back to the car. The whole way back they were silent. All Rainy could do was watch Hollie’s body being carried and sob uncontrollably. At the car they put Hollie in as gently as possible and sprayed a few more squirts of deodorizing spray. Hollie didn’t smell yet but that other corpse was more than making up for that.

The drive back was also very quiet. Without Hollie to give Jenny directions back to Madam Cohen’s she had to find her own way. A few wrong turns and a couple of stops for directions finally brought them back to the castle.

At the castle Jenny decided to pull right up to the rock steps in the moat. They'd all been quite tired from all the digging and carrying. Whatever little the distance they could save would be a godsend. Rainy went to open the door to the dungeon while the bodies were being unloaded. With the door opened she returned to help carry the bodies in. They had to slowly maneuver the spiral stairs. With the bodies already decomposing knocking them on the wall was sure to damage them further. An intact body would probably be more effective for the ritual.

Dani greeted them in the main room. She instructed them to place to bodies down on the side and Rainy would take care of the rest. With the bodies being taken away by her minion she gestured for her two guest to take a seat.

"I see you did quite well for first timers. Did you take notice of the years on the headstones?"

"2010 and 2011 but one of them didn’t have a headstone...", Jenny replied. She hadn’t known how to tell Madam Cohen about Hollie.

"Very good! I have to adjust the percentage of the other ingredients depending on the age of the corpses."

Dani stood up. "I will go and make the final preparations. Feel free to clean yourselves up in the bathroom down the hall to your right." She turned and left the room.
