I thought why not pimp some of the canonmates I would love to have around, inspired by a certain plurk-meme. u///u
Sooo, Samurai Warriors is a game-series by Koei, which is based on the battles that took place during the Sengoku-era in Japan, also known as the time of Japanese civil wars. There's loads of history that you can learn off when you play the games and be cool by slaying tons and tons of soldiers.
So have some canonmates I would love so much to have. ;;
Keiji Maeda
Keiji is portrayed as a wild man and is very-life-for-the-moment. He is the kind of guy who finds himself pitiful because he doesn't know where to crash tonight and has fun with fights in which he gets almost killed. He's got also the best horse in the game. According to Okuni he is actually very sad and serious (there are some strange issues with his uncle). He's not even particularly about honor or ideals, but Kanetsugu still likes him - that's how cool Keiji is.
If you app him you can make awesome Kanetsugu-impersonations, use his books as pillows, punch some sense into Kanetsugu and plunge into the most dangerous events. LAUGHING. App my self-proclaimed bodyguard. ;~;
Yukimura Sanada
Yukimura is the Japanese Zhao Yun. You don't know Zhao Yun? Basically he is a very brave and loyal warrior, but personality-wise so cute they could pass through as puppies. Yukimura is also praised as Japan's greatest warrior. Honor is a big thing for him and he's part of the honor-trio. Yukimura is mostly gentle, calm and polite, but don't underestimate his passion and his recklessness. He's also a bit of a chick-magnet in the games. App him and Kanetsugu and him can be honor- & warrior-bakas & bffs together. After Kanetsugu finished guilt-tripping on him of course.
Mitsunari Ishida
Mitsunari is a princess loyal retainer of the Toyotomi and the leader of the Western army after Hideyoshi's death. He's blunt, honest, sarcastic, snarky and doesn't hold back with his opinions. He's also kind of a jerk to others. He even managed to make people form a coalition against him that was named after him, so yeah. HONOR is also a big thing for him, though and he's the third member of the honor-trio. He shows respect and appreciation to the ones he thinks deserve it and he's a lot gentler with his friends.
If you app him Kanetsugu can embarrass him with passionate speeches and you can be mean to the latter in return - and if they're all alone they can be extremely cheesy with each other.
Aya Gozen
Aya is the older sister of Kenshin, Kanetsugu's first lord, and the mother of Kagekatsu, Kanetsugu's second lord. She's also the one who discovered Kanetsugu's talents. She's usually calm and wears a smile all the time, what makes it hard to tell what she really feels. I mean she bitchslaps people while wearing a smile. Ideals are important to her to not make wars completely meaningless. She also tops everyone in the Uesugi-army forever, because despite her expression she is... dangerous. If you app her you can physically abuse Kanetsugu as much as you want to and he won't complain because you are his lady.
Kenshin Uesugi
Kenshin is the God of War and is extremely obsessed with war and his nemesis, Shingen Takeda. He also stayed single his whole life and Aya thinks he is actually a girl. He loves sake a bit too much and enjoys playing with children when they're not running away from him. He's pretty smart and a very HONORABLE man. Like seriously, when his nemesis had problems because of food-issues, instead of attacking him like everyone suggested, he instead goes and helps his nemesis out. He apparantly also wept manly tears when the latter died. If you app him Kanetsugu will follow you around and fanboy you to no end.
Masamune Date
Is Ruby huge enough for two of them? Masamune's favourite word is imbeciles and he pretty much calls everyone like that. He's very short-tempered, but also very smart and skilled. He's also arrogant and very ambitious, though he sees when he needs to bow to somebody for the greater good. Despite thinking of ideals as foolish, naive things, he himself cares a lot for the people and his dream is to make Japan prosperous. He's also very tsundere. For some reason he also likes to stalk Kanetsugu... just a bit. (Honestly.. like half of his events in SWC contain Kanetsugu, which is A LOT.)
If you app Masamune he doesn't even need to fight for Kanetsugu's love attention anymore, since my Kanetsugu is already at the point where he spills his heart readily to him. They can still go and have amazing childish bickering together. If you app him from anything else than SW Chronicles it might turn out hilarious as well, since their relationship in Chronicles is actually made of less hate-love than in the previous games. Or before Hasedo happened.
Kagekatsu Uesugi
Aya's son and Kenshin's adopted son. As you can see... he doesn't really exist in the regular games as of yet, so trying to pimp him is pretty pointless. Anyways! Historically he apparantly wore always a grumpy or emotionless face and thus, nobody was able to tell what he was thinking (Tono to Ishho stretches that so far that Kanetsugu held lessons for the other soldiers to help them read Kagekatsu's facial expressions). Tenchijin portrays him as a bit social awkward. Oh guys, watch Tenchijin and app Kagekatsu from there, I wouldn't mind. That's how bad I want him. Give Kantetsugu his lord.
