Adrian had to admit that he was slightly surprised to have a letter from Vati waiting for him when he got home from the library, but it was glad to see it as well.

He wrote back quickly, sending the letter off with Dammit before heading to wash up for a dinner that he was certain would involve macaroni and cake frosting, as his mother and Gwen had offered to cook.

Parvati,
I can't tell you how glad I am to hear from you - of course I understand the busyness of the season, but it hasn't stopped me missing you.

How about dinner this weekend? Friday night? I'm spending most of my days in the library at school now, so I could certainly use a night out; Gwen is staying at a friends house that night (she's just got back to classes and has been eager to reconnect with her friends - she seems as if she's all ready perched on teenager-dom, it's terrifying). If not Friday, maybe a movie night up here at the house another time? Gwen would love to get to know you better, I'm sure, and I could cook for us.
