CHARACTERS: Ron, Fred, George, Hermione

Ron had spent the past few days at Charlie's flat, finding the general messiness compatible with his moods.  Charlie had been working long hours which allowed Ron plenty of time to mope without interruption, something he was grateful for.  He had made a significant dent on the beer supply in the fridge, and had been surviving on fish and chips from the take away place down the street.  He was finding himself getting sick of it, but found it a better option that venturing further out and running into someone he knew.

Everything that had taken place at Hermione's flat had been running through his mind.  Harry's anger, his temper, Hermione's hurt and frustration.  And the kiss.  That alone had been the catalyst for sleepless nights, cold sweats, colder showers.  She hadn't resisted, not until her head took over, and more than anything he wanted to revisit that over and over and over.

He shook himself out of his reverie, standing up to add the latest casualty of Charlie's beer supply to it's comrades on the counter.  Right then, two six packs worth, he made a mental note to make a run to grab some more once he decided to leave the flat.   His bag, the sole representation of his worldly possessions, sat haphazardly in the corner.  He was vaguely aware of the faint stench of the clothes spilling out of the top, and he added that to his list of things to to.  As he went to shove them back in his wallet fell out, a harsh reminder that he was living on borrowed time.

This was not how he had planned his return, but then perhaps he should not have planned anything.  Ron had learned long ago to just go with flow of things, but this was something he had a very idealistic view of how it should play out.  He sighed.

The sun peeked through the curtains he had pulled closed, causing him to squint.  The damned sun!  He stood up to block it out when he saw a woman briskly walking by below him, a paper in one hand and a coffee in the other.  She was oblivious to his moods, and like an electric shock he realized that if he continued on this path life would continue to speed by and again - he would be too late.  In a panic, he summoned a quill and paper and began to write.

Hermione,

I was thinking that perhaps we could try that talking thing?  What are you doing tonight?  Perhaps we could meet for dinner?  I'm get quite tired of the same take away over by Charlie's flat.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Ron

Fred,

How's it going?  I'm back in the area, staying over at Charlie's for the time being, but was thinking that it would be nice to see the non dragon loving part of the family.  Also, thinking that I could possibly use some advice.  I'm going a bit stir crazy over here.

Ron

George,

Hey, how have you been?  I'm back in the area, crashing with our dear dragon loving brother, and was thinking that perhaps it would be nice to venture out.  What do your next few days look like?  As crazy as I must be, I'm thinking that it would be nice to get some brotherly advice.

Ron
