I know I'm used to weird, but this is getting way past normal-weird. Like what kind of word is 'blog'? Some of these names don't even sound right.

And, uh, does anyone know anything about astronomy or space, things like that? Specifically, comets. I'm going to find out what's going on...

I'm a fair hand with the astronomical, specifically relating to magic and forecasting. Would that be helpful dear?

It might. There was a comet that was supposed to show up two years ago, but it never did. What do you think could have caused that?

Well, there could be a few things.
If the measurements of the comet weren't accurate, it could be the guess was just off by a few years.
It is also possible some other power has interfered with the comet's path, changing its timing or possibly its entire course. That would likely take a great deal of power, on the levels of gods, but I don't know enough about your world to say for sure dear.
If there is magic there, there may have been some fluctuations around that time if something outside did affect its movement.

I'd be really surprised if the initial measurements were inaccurate. But as for fluctuations... I have the theory that it was this community, but I don't have anything to base that off of. All I know is that around the time Azula contacted this place, things started falling apart.

I don't know much about the spirit world, but it's possible it could have interfered. There was a lot at stake.

Maybe you should start there then, dear. From what I've heard the community acts with a will of its own, and is difficult to reverse. If the change did start on your world, you'll likely learn its cause and possible remedies faster by looking there first.

If I may ask child, what about this comet is so important?

I'll... give it a try. It couldn't hurt, I guess.

It's called Sozin's Comet, after my great-grandfather. When it arrives, it gives firebenders unimaginable power. Last time it was here, my great-grandfather used it to wipe out the Air Nomads; my father wanted to use it this time to conquer the Earth Kingdom, but it never showed up.

... And why might you be looking for it now dear?

I don't want it to come! We're trying to stop the war! But we need to know what's going on so we aren't caught by surprise.

I didn't mean to imply you did, child.

Your best bet seems to be your spirit world, few if any here know much about the inner workings of the community. If that doesn't work dear, you can always have a chat with those who were on here when the comet was supposed to show up.
