I know I'm used to weird, but this is getting way past normal-weird. Like what kind of word is 'blog'? Some of these names don't even sound right.

And, uh, does anyone know anything about astronomy or space, things like that? Specifically, comets. I'm going to find out what's going on...

I don't think I have a name for what this is.

Do you know anything that would delay one, or alter its course, or something?

Not sure if it's any comfort to you, but you aren't the only one.

There are a few things that can alter a comet's course, or even stop it's course altogether. I mean, they're not the only pieces of ice and rock out in space, it could crash into a moon, a planet, or into another comet or meteor on the way. Unless you mean something that people can influence, which depends on the type of world you're on, technilogy and all.

I wish it was something scientific, because that would mean this would all make sense, but I don't think it is. I'm not even sure if a person caused it. I said as much to, uh, that lady below.

...so you're really asking if this community would be capable of delaying the appearance of a comet, or causing it to disappear altogether?

Because I can't imagine the Fire Sages and the Spirit of Knowledge got its arrival date wrong.

I think it's possible, yes. Even likely, depending on how reliable those sources usually are.

Wan Shi Tong, he who knows ten thousand things. Apparently he usually looks like a giant owl unless you make him angry, and then he turns into a giant snake thing. I don't know, I just heard the story.

Wait, maybe they learned about the comet on a different spirit journey? I get all this stuff mixed up.

And you know of absolutely no way to alter a comet's course from your own world?

We don't even have electricity which still sounds extremely unsafe to me. It'd have to be something from the spirit world - nothing else would be powerful enough, and I'm not sure the spirit world would be powerful enough.

They're interested in balance and the Avatar, in that order. Both of which are highly relevant right now.

Okay, I can see where that'd get annoying. :| and where did my icon go...?

I suppose I could see a reason why they'd intervene, in that case, but if it's still doubtful whether or not they can... it remains likely that this community caused or is causing this delay somehow. Is it possible to ask the fire sages again? Given that it seems they got the date wrong and all.

in other news, I just realized their scars are on the same side xD

I asked, and apparently Aang got the comet's date from the spirit of Avatar Roku, the Avatar before him. That probably rules out interference from that end.
