Mm, I suppose America-san's bed is rather comfortable after all. I will give you that.

It was nice seeing Canada-san and Cuba-san as well.

七夕 and お盆 are coming up soon. Will anybody be celebrating?

Japanese holidays to honor the departed and to celebrate the stars.

It is nice to see America-san open to celebrating such holidays. I will be celebrating Obon first on the 17th of July and Tanabata later in the summer.

Alright, sign me up!! What do you do in those?

Obon consists of a festival, a dance, and a sending of lanterns down the river so that our ancestors may rest in peace again. Tanabata is a more light-hearted event, involving wish making. Both will involve fireworks.

I thought you would enjoy that.

I do not see why we cannot have music.

Of course! Fireworks are almost a national stamp, you know? I'm having those for my birthday!

And dancing?

I figured. It is coming up soon, is it not?

I was thinking of teaching everyone the Bon Odori.

It is!! Just wait, Japan, it will be the best party of the century!!

Is that some folkloric dance? I was thinking of something more contemporary!

I would not be surprised.

It is a traditional dance. Contemporary..?

No, it'd be something to be expected when it comes to me, after all!

Indeed it is.

I think that would be quite inappropriate at Obon, but I do not see a problem with it at Tanabata.
