Donna Noble! Yes, the runaway bride herself.

No, it's not a joke, unless the BBC site is in on it, and it's distinctly not April 1st. It appears that Catherine Tate has signed on for all of S4, and Freema Agyeman's coming back mid-season.

Now, there's a lot of trepidation (and outright appallment, if that's a word) about this, but allow me to enumerate my reasons for looking forward to it:

1. I think we can feel fairly confident she won't be falling in love with the Doctor.

2. Yes, she'll have to be toned down a bit from the Christmas special, but keep in mind she was playing a bride on her wedding day then. She was really very good in the last scene, when her character was more subdued.

3. Y HALO THAR, PLUS-SIZED WOMAN IN A STARRING ROLE!

4. When Martha returns, she and Donna can tag-team tormenting the Doctor. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he realizes he's outnumbered.

5. There will be much bickering, and that's just fun.

But then, I appear to be easily pleased. *shrug*
