Nice. VERY nice.

If you ever feel like doing this crossover again, River / Delirium would be extremely interesting. Not to mention Inara / Desire...

And I'd love to overhear Death's conversation with Wash.

No doubt it began with the words, ". . . how I soar."

I've been Desire's Advocate before, and I'd love to see him/her through the eyes of someone like Inara. Dream was never comfortable with Desire, and it showed.

Oh, thank you! Just what I wanted. Excellent Mal voice, and same for Death. I love your attention to detail, i.e. you don't let Death wear her standard late 20th century goth costume but, like she always does in the "flashbacks" of the Sandman series, let her wear something fitting the age she's in.

*dances the dance of gratitude*

I loved it. It's not bittersweet or bitter, despite being set in Serenity Valley and concerning Mal, which takes some genius to accomplish.

I would absolutely adore a full series of these with the Serenity folk, even though I'm not that versed in the Gaiman Endless/Sandman series. Don't suppose you could switch her over to Terry Pratchett's Death, eh? :)

(I really adored this, in all seriousness)

I like Mal's mother's dying words. They sound just right.

I like Death's clothes too.

Not sure about "high-flown Londinium accent" though - have you listened to many Londoners? It's a city accent, not an upper-class one.

Well, Londinium ain't London. It is a Core world, though, and to Mal's ears, he probably sounded a bit high-flown.
