The fog is gone, longingly.
However something tells me it is still not the usual safeness outside to be traveling. Advice that goes along with monsters is to stay in a group when traveling. They feel intimidated and in turn leave you alone. Of course there are other ways to avoid confrontation, just use common sense.

An old friend and I made some plans before the fog lifted. [He laid his sword to his lap and started picking at some of the rust; a small attempt to get it cleaner.] If I leave I'll be with him.. -- Oh you probably know Sephiroth, don't you? He seems popular enough here. [There was a stiff laugh.]
