[Karai's entry into Luceti during the day is very short and to the point. She's read the guide. She doesn't trust this place at all-- so it's short visits to both the Welcome Centre and the smithy on the hunt for her weapons and a list of empty apartments. Maybe some groceries. Maybe she'll pause to terrorise a child on her way through. Certainly, ( Read more... )

[Old habits die hard, even in a place that's giving him so much freedom. Leonardo's skimming the rooftops, keeping to the shadows, and using whatever lighting there is to his advantage, for concealment. A challenge, but it's doable. Also a good vantage point for people watching.

The possible sighting of a familiar figure down on the path makes him pause on the roof of the shop he's on.]

[She knows someone's up there.

Sort of reminds her of home, but what are the chances? Low. Perhaps it's someone who prefers discretion, like herself. Perhaps it has nothing to do with her.

Perhaps she'll be on her guard just the same.

Karai keeps walking at the same measured pace. It's dark in this section of the village and she keeps away from the scattered street lamps-- but the breeze flicks the tails of a familiar red headband into the light, even so.]

[He'll crouch at the edge of the rooftop, and peer down. Though if she looks up, he'll be out of sight.

Sticking to the shadows. The figure must definitely be a ninja. His eyes narrow at the sight of the read headband tails. They wouldn't bring her here, would they?

But then in this place, anything was possible.]

[Nothing quite like the feeling of eyes burning into the back of your head. She's too well-trained to look up.

What she will do is abruptly turn a corner. And disappear.

How perceptive are you, Leonardo? Ninja is as ninja does, after all.]

[Takes a ninja to know a ninja.

He tenses as she disappears. If he wasn't perceptive, he probably would of been dead long ago. As much as he wants to fight her, it wouldn't do him or his family any good. Family safety came first. Especially in this place where they couldn't just disappear into the sewers.

He's off across the roof and onto the next one. Swift and silent. He'll go in the opposite direction of the house, if he's going to be followed, may as well leading her on a wild goose chase. After checking around, he'll drop down to the ground, and head into the woods.

[Movement of shadow the next roof over. On the run, huh? See, now her interest is piqued. Another ninja, spying?

You bet she's following. She wants to know who the hell you are.]

[He's on the next roof, crouched. He's still eying her, watching her. So the tracker becomes the tracked, huh? He keeps to the shadows, making sure it's her.

He'll keep his distance though, and try to lose her. Either over the roofs, or around the trees.]
