Part 4: December 2013

Kurt could feel sweat running down his body and usually that would make him uncomfortable but Blaine was so hot and big inside him that he didn’t care. He took a deep breath, filling his lungs with thick humid air and sighed. The summer was so hot and they shouldn’t be touching but Blaine’s hands were scorching his skin anyway and Kurt arched into each touch, begging for more. He was so close-- Blaine was hitting his prostate with every stroke and God he was so close..

Kurt sat bolt upright in bed. His alarm was screaming and Kurt took a deep, calming breath. He glanced out the window and saw snow fluttering down from the heavens. This freezing New York winter was causing him to long for the hot Ohio summer in both his waking and sleeping life. Kurt had been back to school for 3 months and he missed Blaine so much it was ridiculous. They still talked almost every day-- and had phone sex every other call-- but it wasn’t enough. Kurt turned away from the window with a shiver and pulled the blankets over his head. It was too much. Kurt was not interested in a relationship (especially a long distance one) but Blaine was always on his mind. Kurt rolled over and forced himself to go back to sleep. He had an early class tomorrow and he needed to be at his best because they were assigning solos for the recital.  Kurt was determined to have more than the one solo his major guaranteed him.

By the end of the day, Kurt realized he shouldn’t have worried at all. He was going to have 2 solos, a duet and one ensemble piece-- bringing his number of stage appearances to 4. Rachel only had 2 and Kurt was so ecstatic to finally have more stage time that her. He updated his face book status then called his father. Kurt knew his family would fly out to hear him sing. They had already planned to see the recital but now that he was practically the star of the show he felt he had earned the right to brag. After talking to his dad, Kurt shoved his phone in his pocket and got up to start dinner-- but then his phone rang. A smile lit up his face when he saw Blaine’s face glowing on the display.

“Hello?”

“Ok, I have a question but I don’t want it to sound weird.” Blaine said all in one breath.

“Alright…”

“Would it be ok if I came up to New York to see your recital?”

Kurt felt his heart speed up in his chest.

“Yeah, I mean it’s kind of expensive but I’d love to have you here.” Kurt stammered out, trying to sound nonchalant.

“Kurt, you’ve been to my house. Plane tickets are not a big deal. The thing is, I really wanna come hear you sing but could I maybe stay at your place instead of a hotel? I know you said your apartment is tiny and I don’t want to impose but I don’t want to stay at a hotel by myself either.” Blaine explained, his words getting faster as he went along.

“That would be fine. Rachel really liked hanging out with us this summer and I know she’d be cool about you staying here. My parents and Finn are coming up too so maybe you could catch the same flight as them. Then you’d have someone on the plane to hang out with too.”

“That sounds like a great idea. I’ll talk to Finn about it at dinner. I haven’t talked to him about this at all yet-- I wanted to check with you first.”

“I’m really glad you want to come Blaine. It means a lot to me.” Kurt was happy that he was on the phone because he could feel his lips pulling into a ridiculously huge grin.

“I can’t wait to see you again. I have to get down to the cafeteria though. If I don’t beat Finn to dinner then there’s barely any left.” Blaine chuckled. “I’ll talk to you later.”

“Bye Blaine.” Kurt murmured, watching the phone go dark.

Kurt stayed in his seat staring at his blank phone for a few minutes. He didn’t even stir when Rachel came into the apartment. She tossed her coat and hat onto the stool by the door then cocked her head at him.

“Why are you sitting there staring at your phone like that?” She asked nosily.

“Blaine wants to come hear me sing in the recital.” Kurt answered faintly, his voice sounding almost disbelieving.

“Blaine is going to come to New York just to hear you sing? The same Blaine you spent all summer ditching me so you could have sex with? The same Blaine you’ve spent the past three months pining for?” Rachel was practically bouncing with excitement.

“I am not pining, Rachel.”

“Call it what you want, Hummel but you’re pining. You look like you want to squeeze through the screen of your phone to get to him.” She giggled.

“Fuck you, Berry. I’m just preoccupied.”

“Well you had better hope that he doesn’t change his mind and fall in love with me when he hears me singing in the recital.”

“Oh I’m not worried about that. I’ll be on stage twice as much as you so I’m sure I can cancel out any confusing feelings you may or may not cause.” Kurt gave her his ultimate bitch face and stalked to his bedroom. Fuck it had been good to finally be able to say that.

***

Kurt looked around the airport nervously. He couldn’t wait to see his family and Blaine again but he was a little worried. The last text Blaine had sent him had expressed the other boys fear of Burt. Kurt was sure his father was doing his best to intimidate Blaine. He could only imagine how uncomfortable his friend was-- Blaine had been stuck with his family for hours now. Kurt glanced up at the board and saw that their plane was unloading and he turned back to the gate. He saw his father first. There was no missing Burt Hummel. He was a large man but it seemed like his personality took up just as much space as he did. Burt was talking to Carole as the walked down the hall and behind them was Blaine and Finn.

Blaine was laughing at something Finn was saying and Kurt felt his heart drop down into his stomach. In that instant he knew Rachel was right. He HAD been pining for him these past few months. Every cell in his body was screaming for him to go running down the terminal and grab Blaine as tightly as he could but Kurt was restraining himself. He didn’t want to make things weird since Blaine would be staying with him for the weekend. Then, as if he could feel Kurt’s gaze on him, Blaine looked up and saw him. Their eyes met from across the room and Kurt felt his cheeks grow warm. Burt caught sight of him next and he grabbed Kurt in a tight hug.
“I’ve missed you, kiddo.” He said gruffly against Kurt’s shoulder.

“I’ve missed you too dad.” Kurt echoed faintly. It was true, he always missed his father, but right now he wanted Blaine in his arms more than anything.

Carole hugged him next, then Finn gave him an awkward one armed ‘bro-hug.’ Then Kurt found himself standing in front of Blaine. The other boy was smiling at him shyly and Kurt couldn’t help the matching grin that took over his face. Blaine wrapped him up in a friendly, quick hug before pulling away and glancing at Burt warily.

“Alright, lets go grab out things so we can get outta here. This place is a madhouse.” Burt herded the family towards baggage claim then out to wait for a taxi.

It was obvious that Burt had threatened Blaine. The other boy was placed on the opposite end of the taxi van they climbed into and he barely spoke at all as the drove to the hotel. Carole, Burt and Finn were going to grab lunch then go sight seeing before the recital that night. Carole had tried to convince Blaine to come with them but the other boy had declined as politely as he could. After Kurt’s family shuffled out of the car, Kurt scooted across the seat so that he was finally beside Blaine.

“So, did my dad threaten you with his shotgun?”

“Yeah. He told me that there would be nothing ‘inappropriate’ while he was around. I’m not quite sure what that means but I decided to play it safe and try to just keep away from you while he was present.” Blaine laughed, wrapping his arm around Kurt’s shoulders.

Kurt leaned into his touch and let his eyes fall shut for a second.

“You know I have rehearsal in a few hours then I have to get ready for the show, right? I’m going to be a terrible host tonight.”

“That’s alright. I’m a performer too so I know how this all goes. Anyway, you don’t have rehearsal just yet, so we do have some time together.” Blaine wagged his thick eyebrows suggestively and Kurt couldn’t stop the bark of laughter that welled up in his throat.

“Please tell me that wasn’t you trying to be sexy.”

“I’m hurt. I think I’m very sexy.” Blaine pouted.

“Of course you do.” Kurt rolled his eyes as the taxi stopped in front of his apartment. He paid the driver then helped Blaine grab his bags from the back.

Blaine was still pouting while they rode the elevator up to the 5th floor. Kurt snickered at him as he dug his keys out of his pocket and let them into his apartment. Rachel was already at school-- the tiny girl had decided to dedicate her whole day to warming up and practicing her songs-- and Kurt couldn’t have been more thankful. He lead Blaine to his bedroom and sat his bag down beside the closet. Blaine dropped his bag as well and started peeling his coat and gloves off. Kurt  hung their jackets up in the closet then turned back to Blaine-- only to find the shorter boy directly behind him. It only took Blaine one step to enter his personal space and press him back against the wall.

“Well hello there.” Kurt whispered.

Both of Blaine’s hands came up to cup Kurt’s face and for a second they stood like that. Blaine was staring at him like he’d never seen him before and Kurt felt more vulnerable than he ever had in his life. It was like those honey colored eyes could see right through him. Then Blaine nodded once, like he found whatever it was he was looking for, and he pressed forward to kiss him. Kurt felt himself melt into the kiss, his whole body sagging forward to press as close to Blaine as he could. Gently, Blaine slid his hands down Kurt’s body until he reached his hips and he guided Kurt away from the wall and over to the bed.

Without any words, they slowly undressed each other, tossing their clothes into a haphazard pile on the floor. Kurt could care less about wrinkles at a time like this. All he could think about was the way Blaine’s hands seemed to touching him everywhere at once. It was so different from any of their previous encounters. Even this summer, when they’d had sex at least twice a week, they had still moved at a frenzied pace. This time though, Blaine was pressing him down on the bed carefully and taking his time to map every inch of flesh Kurt had to offer. It was dizzying and overwhelming but Kurt felt so cherished. He arched up hard with Blaine finally wrapped a firm hand around his cock. Blaine moved down the bed until he was level with Kurt’s erection and lapped at the head. Kurt squeezed his eyes shut and reached down to fist his hands in Blaine’s curls. Blaine laughed softly at his eagerness before opening up and taking Kurt into his mouth.

Kurt tried to hold his hips still. He knew that Blaine enjoyed having his mouth fucked but he wanted to let the other boy set the pace. Blaine was being so through, so serious about touching him. Kurt let himself float in the sensation-- giving himself over to pleasure and trusting Blaine to take care of him. Blaine pulled away from his cock and trailed wet, open mouthed kisses down the shaft. Kurt whimpered, knowing where Blaine was headed. He spread his legs open wider, and shifted his hips forward as far as he could. He was rewarded by Blaine’s tongue circling hotly around his opening. Kurt keened and tightened his fingers in Blaine’s hair. Blaine moaned a little, enjoying his hair being tugged, but kept himself focused on Kurt’s body.

It was too much but still not enough, Kurt wrapped his legs around Blaine’s shoulders and moved with Blaine’s tongue. He never wanted the feeling to end but he wanted Blaine inside of him so badly. Finally, he tore his hands free of Blaine’s hair (and probably took a few strands along with it) and groped around in his side table. He found the lube and tapped Blaine’s head with it. The other boy looked up at him with heavy lidded eyes and red swollen lips-- an image that Kurt stored in his mind to keep forever-- and took the bottle from him. Kurt settled back against the pillows again while Blaine popped the bottle open and slicked his fingers. Blaine slid his fingers into him easily. Kurt bucked into the sensation but Blaine would not take the hint. He moved slowly, gently stretching him open until he was able to move three fingers in and out of him. Kurt could feel his own orgasm simmering in his stomach already but Blaine’s pace wasn’t enough to ignite the fire. Kurt whimpered as Blaine pulled his fingers away but Blaine only smiled at him.

“Did you get a condom out?” Blaine asked, the first words he’s spoken in over half an hour.

“No.. do you think maybe we could…?” Kurt trailed off, unsure how to ask Blaine for such a personal thing.

Blaine stared at him again and Kurt tried to stay still under his gaze. Blaine stretched out on top of him and kissed him. Kurt could taste himself on Blaine’s lips and he sighed, opening his mouth wider. He wanted to be as close to Blaine as he could be and Blaine seemed to understand what he wanted. Blaine pulled away just enough to slather lube over his cock then pressed against his entrance. Kurt wrapped his legs around Blaine’s waist as Blaine slowly slid inside of him. They stilled for a moment when Blaine bottomed out, Blaine holding him tight and kissing every inch of skin within his reach. Then he pulled back and thrust back in sharply-- just enough to make Kurt jolt and groan with pleasure. Blaine kept up his steady pace, hitting Kurt’s prostate every few strokes.

“Please Blaine…” Kurt whimpered, his body shaking with need.

“Please what, baby?” Blaine murmured against his ear.

“More. I need more.”

“Like this?” Blaine asked, pulling out almost all the way then slamming back in.

Kurt wailed, his body moving eagerly with Blaine’s. He loved this feeling. He wanted to feel Blaine inside him all night-- even when he was on stage singing. He wanted to be able to feel Blaine and know that the other boy was out in the audience watching him. That thought was enough to push Kurt over the edge. He dug his fingernails into Blaine’s shoulders and came hard between them. Blaine’s eyes widened as he watched him come without even being touched and then he fell apart as well. Kurt felt him spill hot inside is body and it made his body twitch hard with aftershocks.

Blaine settled down on top of him and wrapped his arms around him. Kurt snuggled into his arms and sighed. He had to get up soon and go to rehearsal but this was too nice to pass up. Blaine ran his hands through Kurt’s disheveled hair and hummed softly under his breath. Kurt shut his eyes and allowed the other boy to hold him--working to memorize the feeling. He knew he’d want to remember this when he was cold and alone in his bed next semester.

***

Kurt peeked through the curtain and sighed. The recital was starting in less than five minutes and he was dying of nerves. He shook his head and tried to will the fluttering in his stomach away but it was no use. After a moment he pulled out his phone and shot a quick text to Blaine.

Kurt:
Has anyone ever literally died on stage?

Blaine:
Are you nervous?

Kurt:
Don’t judge me…

Kurt:
Ok, you can judge me.

Blaine:
I think it’s adorable. I think YOU’RE adorable.

Kurt smiled at his phone. The lights dimmed around him and he heard the head of the music department walk onstage to greet the audience. Kurt turned his phone off and shoved in into his jacket. He took a deep breath and this time he felt his nervousness melt away. Blaine was out there with his parents and his brother and they were all here to support him. He was going to be great.
***

The recital went off without a hitch and Kurt couldn’t be prouder. He rushed over to his family after the show and threw himself into Blaine’s arms. He was still a little stage high and he giggled when Blaine squeezed him tight. Then he was hugged by his father and step-mother-- Kurt was practically dizzy from all the attention-- before he found himself right back beside Blaine.

“Well Kurt, after a show like that I think we need to celebrate.” Burt said gruffly.

“I agree. I know the perfect place we can get dinner at.” Kurt said excitedly.

They made their way outside and grabbed a cab. Kurt was babbling happily from between Blaine and Burt. He talked about how everyone backstage was freaking out before curtain call and how Rachel had snapped at a poor freshmen girl and made her cry. Kurt was in the middle of another story when he realized that his father wasn’t looking at him-- he was looking at something on his other side. Kurt kept talking but turned to see if Blaine was asleep or something. Kurt’s eyes widened when he realized what his father was staring at so intently. Blaine seemed to realize too and he jerked at his jacket collar but it was too late. There was an angry purple hickey on the side of his neck and Burt couldn’t seem to tear his gaze away from it. Kurt remembered that his father had threatened Blaine about being ‘inappropriate’ and he knew his father’s mind was spinning with ways to punish the poor boy.

They were seated quickly at the restaurant and once again sat between his father and Blaine. He tried to keep the conversation light but Burt seemed to only want to glare across the table at the other boy. Kurt knew his father was only being protective but it was really unnecessary. He was almost positive that his father would be less angry if they were in a relationship. Burt’s protective streak was a mile wide and it didn’t matter that his son was 20 years old-- he only wanted the best for Kurt.

“So Blaine, this was a pretty big trip to take at Christmas time.”

Blaine sat up straighter in his chair and cock his head at Burt.

“Not really. I have a credit card and my parents could really care less what I buy. It’s fine as long as I get a haircut before I make an appearance at my family’s Christmas gathering.” Blaine replied calmly.

“Your hair was long when I met you last year.” Kurt interrupted, trying to change the subject.

Blaine grinned ruefully. “It was. My mother was very angry with me last year. You see, my family doesn’t gather to celebrate Christmas-- they stand around and fight over who has the most money and the most perfect kid. Apparently, my hair makes a big difference in the argument.”

Kurt looked sad for a minute but Burt’s expression had not changed. He was still eying Blaine narrowly.

“I’m just trying to figure out your angle here. Kurt says you guys are not dating but you two were constantly running out of the house all summer and here you are now.”

“Dad I am an adult, you know.” Kurt gritted out. His cheeks were on fire and he damned his fair skin.

“20 is just barely an adult Kurt.” Burt said dismissively.

There was tense silence for a moment before Carole cleared her throat.

“So Kurt, tell me more about the diva fights backstage.” She said, smiling reassuringly at her step-son.

The conversation moved back to safer topics but dinner was a less than successful venture. By the time they all finished eating and said goodnight, Kurt was exhausted. He practically dragged Blaine back to empty apartment and only paused to flick a lamp on for when Rachel came home before going straight to his room. Blaine followed him wordlessly, and Kurt was thankful. He had too much on his mind and it was all so overwhelming. They slowly stripped down to their boxers before curling up in the bed together. Kurt sighed, finally able to let go of the tense feeling that had been vibrating inside his stomach when he felt Blaine’s arms wrap tightly around him.

They were silent for so long that Kurt felt his eyes slip closed. He was just beginning to doze when Blaine’s voice startled him awake.

“What are we doing, Kurt?”

Kurt took a deep, calming breath.

“We’re laying in bed, Blaine, obviously.” He tried to joke but it fell flat.

“You know what I mean.”

Kurt sighed and buried his face against Blaine’s shoulder. He didn’t want to think about this right now but it seemed like he had no choice.

“This was supposed to be something that we did for fun whenever I was in town.” Kurt grumbled.

“But what is it now, Kurt? Because I don’t think this counts as hooking up anymore. I mean, I slept with 3 different guys before I met you and I never wanted to fly halfway across the country to see them.” Blaine said, his voice muffled by Kurt’s hair.

“I don’t know what this is. Do you have feelings for me?” Kurt tried to keep his voice casual but his words cracked at the end.

“I really care about you Kurt and I don’t want to mess this up. I’m terrible at romance. I’ve never been anyone’s boyfriend. I don’t want to change what we have then ruin it because I don’t meet expectations.”

Kurt let Blaine’s words echo over and over in his head. Blaine cared for him. Kurt knew that it was time to be honest with himself and his feelings. He was falling in love with Blaine and he had been for a while. He’d realized it the moment he’d seen Blaine in the airport.

“I care about you too Blaine. I’ve been so afraid of having a long distance relationship that I didn’t even realize that we were practically already having one.” Kurt finally looked up at Blaine. The other boy was gazing down at him with the fondest expression Kurt had ever seen. Blaine kissed him once, chastely, before hugging him even tighter.

“So the next time I get asked out I can tell them that I have a beautiful boyfriend that I am faithful to?”

“Do you get asked out that often?” Kurt asked archly.

“Um, kinda. I keep telling this boy in my theatre class that I’ve been talking to someone but he’s pretty persistent. Sebastian is just like that, I guess.” Blaine shrugged.

“Yes, you can tell Sebastian that you have a boyfriend. You can also tell him that if he doesn’t leave you alone-- I will send my father after him with his shotgun.”

Blaine laughed so hard that the bed shook for several minutes. When he finally calmed down he turned Kurt’s face up for another kiss. The kissed lazily as they both relaxed and slowly fell asleep wrapped in each others arms.
***

Kurt blinked against the light streaming through his window. The winter sun was high and bright that morning and Kurt tried to roll away from it but it was too late. He was already awake. Kurt sighed and sat up slowly, gazing down at his boyfriend. Blaine was lying on his back with his arms flung out wide. Kurt had been snuggled up against his side and Blaine looked so lonely now that he was alone. Kurt made a quick trip to the bathroom then came back to once again stare at his sleeping boyfriend.

The idea struck his so suddenly that he almost smacked himself in the forehead. With a devilish grin, Kurt climbed back into bed and slithered down Blaine’s body. He slowly slid the blanket down with him, slowly revealing Blaine’s bare torso and his tented boxers. Kurt gently pulled Blaine’s hard cock out from his boxers and stroked it firmly. Blaine thrusted into his grip with a breathy sigh but his eyes did not open. Kurt took the head of his cock into his mouth and gently sucked on it. He kept his eyes open wide and fixed on Blaine’s face. He could feel Blaine’s hips twitching restlessly under his hands as he took a little more into his mouth. Blaine moaned, his body jerking awake. He looked down at Kurt with sleepy eyes--then blinked hard when he realized he wasn’t dreaming.

“Kurt…fuck.” Blaine gasped, his hands flying down to tangle in Kurt’s hair.

Kurt pulled off Blaine’s cock with a pop and grinned.

“Good morning sleeping beauty. I thought about waking you up with a kiss but I thought that a blowjob made the story a little more interesting.”

Blaine whimpered and tugged at his hair, urging Kurt on. He took the hint easily and wrapped his lips around Blaine’s cock. Kurt wrapped both of his hands around Blaine’s hips and urged him to thrust in time with his mouth. Blaine was falling apart steadily under his hands and Kurt could feel his own erection throbbing in his boxers. He ground himself against the mattress in search of relief and moaned around Blaine’s dick.

“Fuck Kurt, so close…” Blaine warned, tugging at his hair again.

Kurt pulled away with a smirk and moved one hand to stroke him roughly.

“Are you going to come for me, Blaine?” He purred, his voice gravelly from Blaine’s cock.

Blaine’s eyes slammed shut and he nodded frantically. Then his body went taut and he was coming, streaking Kurt’s face and hair. Kurt moaned, feeling his whole body go hot all at once. His own orgasm blazed through him suddenly and he moved helplessly against the comforter. He stuck his tongue out to lick away the stripe of come on his upper lip and giggled at Blaine’s shell-shocked expression.

“Jesus Kurt, if I knew you’d wake me up like that-- I would have begged to be your boyfriend the first night.”

Kurt laughed loudly as he stood up and disappeared into the bathroom for the second time that morning. He quickly cleaned his face and stripped out of his sticky boxers. He started the shower the peeked out into the bedroom where Blaine was still laying on the bed limply.

“Are you gonna come shower with me or not?” Kurt asked, one delicate eyebrow arched.

Blaine scrambled out of the bed and Kurt laughed again. This was the perfect start of a relationship.
