Well. Besides having way too much crap to do this week.....

I blew it all off tonight and went to the Live & Collective Soul Concert.

Emerson Hart opened. For those of you who do not know who he is, he was the lead singer of Tonic back in the day. Though I must say, his solo stuff.....not nearly as good. So he was alright, not terrible, but not kick-ass.

Then Collective Soul came on stage. The only that that would have made it cooler is pyrotechnics. But they were fucking awesome. Omg. Such a blast from the past. Great stage presence. And their songs sounded better live than they did on the radio. If I had extra panties, they would have gotten a face full of them. Lead singer was having a great time up on stage, I thought he would break the mic stand in half or something because he was trowing it up in the air and all around and stuff. Wonderful show! Ended on Shine. Bad-ass song to go out on.

Even though my feet hurt by this point, and my hand hurt from clapping, and my voice was going a little hoarse, I couldn't leave.

Because Live came on next. And I must say, I wasn't particularly excited about Live, but they put on a bitchin performance. Great show! They were awesome. I mean, I was never a huge Live fan, but they kicked ass on stage. The lead singer slowly kept taking off his clothes. No shirt by the end of it, and damn, he works out, not bad to look at. One of the guitarists did pretty much everything on a guitar that I would want to do if I was a rock star, pretty cool, he looked like he was having a great time.

And of course, Lightning Crashes was the last song Live played. Bad-ass.

The only thing I was really disappointed in (besides Emerson Hart, but hey, I wasn't expecting much there) was the crowd. It wasn't a bad crowd, but most people weren't nearly as excited as I was. So there were a lot of people not dancing or clapping or whatnot, which is kinda a concert killer. I mean fuck, if you are going to go, at least freakin try to have fun.

But all and all. Live & Collective Soul both put on FUCKING AWESOME shows. I was thoroughly impressed.

Best of all. It was free. <3

concert bitches.
