Oh yeah, math final went blah. I missed a few problems and couldn't solve the last one. I don't care. I know I'll pass the class, whether it's a C or a B. Definitely not a D or F, I know that. I don't care now that I'm FREEEEEEEE.
After finals, Kristi, new friend and classmate, asked me to watch Tangled with her at the Regency Theater. It's a cheap, $3 theater that runs movies that are not currently running. It was my first time going there (also my first time watching Tangled). It was pretty cool~
Tangled was okay. I had a bunch of questions. xDDD How did she learn how to swim if she lived in that tower all her life? How did Flynn/Eugene/whatever return to life via tear? Did she happen to have a little teaspoon of miracle liquid or something? Orrr is it her tears this time that will revive people? So I guess she can cry and bring people back to life? It reminds me too much of the "magic leaf of healing" in Quest for Camelot, which wasn't explained either. At least in Beauty and the Beast, Beast came back to life because Belle said she loved him, and thus breaking the spell. That made sense.
(And she had Yuna's hair at the end of the movie. I find that pretty funny. Crossover anyone? I bet it's been done.)
Why did Rapunzel grow up to be the pure and nice girl when raised by a passive aggressive old lady like that? (Shouldn't she end up like...I don't know, Morrigan from DA?) I liked the old lady though, she was cool with the knife and cloak. She's just a fail!Flemeth. Flemeth is a better evil mother (and other things) than her.
Another thing that bugged me was the horse. I liked the horse and the chameleon, but I thought the horse acted too much like a dog and a person than...a horse. I think the horse should have been a human instead. But I guess that would make it either too gay (if a human was in the horse's place, people would slash him with Flynn. They would. They wooooouuuuuld) or...too many characters to develop, I guess?
Oh yeah, I remember in the middle of the movie...something happened and I was like, "That's freakin' bullshit!" But I don't remember what it was. It didn't have to do with the story, I think...just something ha- OH I REMEMBER NOW. It was near the beginning when Flynn was introduced. When the horse was chasing him down, they both fell from A REALLY HIGH CLIFF. I don't know about you but I don't think A HORSE WOULD SURVIVE THAT FALL THAT EASILY. Seriously, that would've killed Link even if he did a safe roll.
The horse is clearly a god.
THEN AGAIN IT IS A DISNEY MOVIE. That's what I keep telling myself, anyway. I liked the floating lanterns scene a lot. The movie, like most animated films, was very pretty to look at. I'm sure people would tell me to "WATCH IT IN 3D!!! IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!" Er, no. Watching it in 3D would not answer any of the questions I got. It'd just cost me more money and make me dizzy. (Yeah, I have little love for the 3D glasses- THAT MAKES ME A BAD PERSON.)
Anyway! Back to present day!
Played MvC3 at Tony's before leaving to go to Round 1. Round 1 put in A SHIT TON OF NEW GAMES since the last time I went!! They had this shooter game where it takes place in an elevator. It's pretty cool. Dunno what the story is. Who cares, you're shooting monsters in an elevator. It's stupid but it's fun. I forgot the name. It might as well be called Elevator Panic Attack. It's Elevator something.
I was playing that, Super Street Fighter II, an arm wrestling game (choosing "female" is "easy mode" apparently. What a ripoff), this one shooter called...uh...I forgot, but it was like Machine Gun Destruction or something. It was a really dumb title but the game was fun. You just use one gun and shoot everything. That game knew what it was. xDD
Wheel of Fortune was easy tickets. Derek spent the 300+ tickets he got on candy. He got me a Captain America flavor...oh, I mean, cherry flavored Captain America taffy. xDD Spider-Man's blueberry and Hulk's...I think apple.
I kept the wrapper. Captain America = cherry flavored. Ehehehehe~ I'd lick his cherries and other things. Seriously, if he became real, I would jump his gun no question. I bet even his straight fanboys would, just so they can say that they did. Bragging rights! "Man, I didn't particularly enjoy it, but it was Captain FUCKING America! ...aw, that reminds me that my ass hurts."
Went back to Tony's to play MvC3 some more. I'm better at it now, especially now that I know what the buttons do. Air combos are done a taaaaaad differently in this one. My best characters are...Storm, Sentinel, Spider-Man, and Deadpool.
Spider-Man, sure. But Storm and Sentinel...wow (I'm surprised because I never used them in previous games, though they are considered top tier characters and I never really gave a damn about that and I still don't). Deadpool's fun to use. I like Taskmaster too though I don't know much about him (I keep seeing Skeletor). I got familiar with Phoenix, who has the lowest hp out of all the characters but makes it up for turning into Dark Phoenix. And Dark Phoenix is scary.
I think Deadpool and Hisen-Ko will be my new "B.B. Hoods" buuuuut if she ever comes around, I'm definitely using her.
In a way, the game is actually...muuuuuuch easier. I'm sure they made it to introduce it to new players. It's fun though. I like it more than Brawl.

His theme is the catchiest! It's a nice remake from
MvC1.
My comment. Ahahaaaa~ When I played Wolverine in part 3, it still sounds like he's saying it (he's saying "Berserker Barrage!"). Though the older voice is more fun to listen to.
Wolverine's
new theme sounds like the Power Rangers theme. Really, even if you didn't know Wolverine's theme, you would think so too.
Btw, I don't like Cap's new voice. It sounds too cartoony. I'll stick to the old one, thank you very much. I do like Cap a lot in this game though.
I played MvC3 at this videogame store in Pasadena on Thursday or Wednesday (whenever class was canceled, it was the day of the game's release). Here's a funny conversation:
*Morrigan vs Iron Man*
Me: (Playing as Morrigan) Those two should have sex.
Guy I was playing against: LOL
*Captain America vs Iron Man*
Me: Those two should have sex and get married.
Guy I was playing against: lol wut
Me: They did, in one alternate universe.
Guy: Really?
Me: Yeah, Iron Man was a woman though. But that won't stop me from believing! (If anything, it reinforces my uh...shipping...of them.)
Soooo anyway, after playing MvC3 at Tony's, I jogged home. It wasn't a long jog since Tony lives only a block or two away from me. It felt really nice, since there were no cars around, the rain stopped, and it was totally quiet. Well, my phone was playing 14 Years by GnR to keep my company.
Throughout the week, I also rewatched some Gene Kelly favorites, like For Me and My Gal and It's Always Fair Weather. I can't find the soundtrack for either of them though. D8 Next movies to rewatch: An American in Paris AND AND AND The Pirate!
4:00 AM right now...I really wanna cook some salmon. I'll cook a little with brown rice. Mmmm~
