Woo. I got time to do the Marvel meme and other things.
Day 31 - Least Favourite Character
I don't have one that I consistantly HAAAAAAAAAAAAATE or anything. Hate in terms of like how...uh...like how folks would hate Isolde or Anora from Dragon Age or how others hate Aerith or Tifa from FFVII and such. It's not a strong hate.
But I do have characters that I get annoyed at for different reasons...
- Wasp from The Avengers. I do feel bad for her when bad things happen (domestic violence, getting eaten, being blown up...LOL), and Secret Invasion did make me like her a tad more. But she wasn't exactly Mrs. Sensitive when she said off handed things to the Scarlet Witch. See, that's pretty biased. xDDD; I don't haaaaaaaaaate her, but she is the one I care about the least. Yes, even after all the shit she went through in any incarnation (actually, the first two I mentioned happened in the Ultimate Universe xDDD). I AM A HORRIBLE PERSON.
- Wolverine. NOT BECAUSE OF THE CHARACTER HIMSELF. This is just his fame. He's ALWAYS on the covers even when the issues are not even about him. He's ALWAYS on the foreground even when he's not talking. lol what a spotlight hog. BUT I AM NOT SAYING WOLVIE HIMSELF SUCKS. I'm just tired of all the attention he gets. And you know, if bad things happen to him (and of course a lot does), I neeever feel bad for him because he WILL always come through somehow.
And this is just for fun, here is Wolverine: Origins in 30 seconds:

PRETTY MUCH.
There's also MOJO. He is the most ANNOYING character ever.
Day 32 - Favourite Parent
Hmm...kinda hard to pic a parent since most of them kinda have fucked up lives. Can I just name figures?
Just see my icon.
Day 33 - Favourite animated version
God god god god DAMN. I FUCKING WISH Spectacular Spider-Man AND Wolverine and the X-Men weren't cancelled (stupid financial shit! NOTHING GOOD COMES OUT OF THE WORD "FINANCE").
Wolverine and the X-Men (which wasn't THAT much about Wolverine, honestly) was awesome. I loved the episodes with Kurt and Wanda fighting off Mojo (anything involving him is SO boring and stupid) because...well, besides being cute, it was engaging. Actually, my favorite episodes were the ones that centered on Kurt (he had SWORDS 8DDDD).
I'm really sad that the show couldn't get past the first season (next was the Age of Apocalypseeeadsa). With Emma's apparently death, that was a very abrupt ending. I wanted to know what happened to Polaris (who I was kinda iffed since she was the "young naive" girl) in the future and what happened to everyone else. PLUS HELLION WAS IN THERE. And and and before it was announced that the series was cancelled, it was announced that there were going to be an episode or two centering on Colossus BUT IT NEVER HAPPDNSAJDNLA
And then there was Spectacular Spider-Man. I think it only had two VERY GOOD seasons. I actually like it more than the 1990 Spider-Man cartoon. Not only that, I was more into Spectacular Spider-Man than Wolverine and the X-Men. Why? I have no idea. I just remember that every week, I look more forward to knowing what happens next in Spectacular than in Wolverine. Don't get me wrong, I still like Wolvie and the X-men but still. They made every character in Spectacular likable. I loved the itty bitty details, down to how the Sinister Six worked together. Of the Sinister Six, I really wanted to hug Electrode. He probably wants a hug (next to a cure, of course) too. I liked how Shocker was the cool and professional one too. They were given the dignity they deserved despite being in a children's cartoon. It was pleasing to both adults who have seen the old show and read the comics, as well as kids who were new to it.
(I should've mentioned the Sinister Six when I was trying to answer the "favorite supervillain team" question, huh?)
If I could compare Spectacular Spider-Man to something else, it would be to Legend of Zelda: Windwaker. Why? Because people had looked down upon both of them for having cartoony character designs and that the characters are younger. BUT GUESS WHAT. WINDWAKER WAS AWESOME AND SO WAS SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN. SO HAAAAAH.
But you know, since neither of them really got to finish, with Spidey ending with 2 seasons and Wolverine and the X-Men ending in only one, I have to say...
X-Men: The Animated Series.
Suuuuuure sometimes the animation was weird. And towards the last season, the animation was just pure shit. And Gambit's voiced changed. And there were stupid moments like:

BUT YOU KNOW THERE WERE COINING MOMENTS OF AWESOME THANKS TO WEIRD ANIMATION:

But despite the goofy colors and the sometimes melodramatic acting, I really took this show seriously (I never took Evolution seriously). The first episode about Nightcrawler (ahahaaa see, him again) was really touching. Oddly enough, it also is about Wolverine.

You won't see episodes like these in cartoons anymore. D:
Also, the other Nightcrawler episode...where he searches for his mother and ends up finding other members of his family...of course, if you had read the comics, it's no surprise (momma Mystique, sister Rogue, brother...uh...Mutant Hating Friends of Humanity guy whose name I forgot). But I saw that episode when I was like...seven. IT MADE ME REALLY SAD. LIKE, INCREDIBLY. LIKE...BAMBI'S-MOM-DEAD-SAD. LIKE LITTLEFOOT'S-MOM-DIED-FIGHTING-A-T-REX-TO-SAVE-HER-SON (I CRIED A LOT) SAD.
Okay, so I didn't bawl like I would with Littlefoot's mom, but you know. I actually made the stupid seven year old in me reallllly sad. The episodes that were meant to be sad, made me sad. The episode that were meant to be touching, made me feel touched. The scenes that were supposed to be funny, made me laugh (except for the Mojo episodes. Those were stupid).
Plus, the show has an awesome catchy theme song. Come on, you know it. And once you play it, it's gonna be stuck in your head for a while.

DA DA DAAAAA DA DA. DA DA DAAAAAAAAAA DA DA.
Day 34 - Favourite writer
To be honest, I'm bad at remembering writers and artists. I only know a few. I do like Mark Miller. I like Allen Heinberg, who writes the Young Avengers.
I think I would have to go for Greg Weisman. HE WROTE SPECTACULAR-SPIDER MAN AND GARGOYLES. Both shows I really, really like.
Day 35 - Favourite artist
Like with writers, I am very bad with names. I like Jim Cheung, he drew the Young Avengers comics and others.
I remember the ones I DON'T like though. I don't like Greg Land's art. The only picture I really like from him is
the cover of Phoenix Endsong. I really like that picture. But that's it. His characters (especially the women) all look the same otherwise.
I'm not a huge fan of Frank Quitely's art. I liked it in We3- cause it centers on animals. But I did NOT like how he drew The Authority or New X-Men. More so on The Authority (sorry, I know this is a Marvel meme) because...just look...
This is Apollo from Authority (drawn by Brian Hitch, I think?):
Look at how Frank Quitely draws Apollo here:
It's a cute moment between the two. BUT HOLY HELL LOOK AT APOLLO. He looks like he just....gah. That's not Apollo. That's ten Apollo's mashed together in a trash compator for years and years while being infused with steroids.
So many things to say...so many jokes to tell...but oh my god. @___@;;; But at least Mark Miller's writing still made that part of the series good.
Wow. That was long! And it took a long time to type too.
I don't think I would have been able to say all this in a voice post. I hope someone's reading this. If you did, thank you. xDDD This was one of the biggest fandom geek out I ever had.
But since this took so long, I actually don't have time to get into the "other things." I'll make it really short by just mentioning one of the other things, and that is that...I got a huge scratch on my leg from a fan. No, not cause of the spinning blades. The fan was off and unplugged and was on the floor. When I got out of bed to turn on the heater and put my leg down, my leg ran along the side of the fan and it was enough to actually scratch the skin and have it bleed.
But it's not like GAHHH GUSHING I NEED HEALING BANDAGES FUCK. It's a shallow scratch that does not hurt at all. I did not even realize that it was bleeding UNTIL I got to school and notice scabs forming.
I took of pic of it with my phone a few days ago, but I won't be able to post an image until I get home. xDDD It's not gonna leave a scar at least.
