(no subject)
Hello,
Wow, it's been a while but hey. So, school is almost over. Finals are the week of May 12, 2006!!!!!!! I'm not really looking forward to it because studying for them is going to be sickening. I have a Wellness exam that is basically going to be going to my professor's house for brownies and milk. The other three are going to be much worse. My sociology exam is cumulative and I don't even know where to begin studying for that. The World Civilization II exam isn't going to be as bad because it's going to be just like the rest of the exams in the class. The Greek Civilizations exam is going to be the worse. I have an 8-10 page "Encyclopedia Entry" page on Greek Theatre and its role in society, (of which my professor is an expert),as well as his exam which is going to suck. Studying for all of these and catching up on stuff that I've missed recently is going to be very fun. (Shoot me now)!!!!!
For next semester, my classes are looking like this:
MWF 11:00-11:50 HIS 161:American History to 1861
MW 12:00-1:50 EDS 300: Seminar in Education: Teaching, Learners, .....
MWF 2:00-2:50 EDS 311: Methods of Teaching Social Studies
TR 12:00-12:50-MUS 130C: Women's Chorus
MTWRF 4:00-4:50-JPN 101: Intro to Japenese 1 OR LAT 101: Intro to Latin from 9:00-9:50 on MTWF
I'm really not to upset about it. I think it will be a pretty good semester.
ANYWAY--Now to present: I am currently sick. I'm not sure what I have but I think its a virus that my friend had. Its a really bad strain of the flu that affects my entire body and will probably leave an infection in my chest. It sucks majorily and it is keeping me from class and work. It sucks.
Well, for those of you that don't know or just didn't remember....my birthday was on Saturday, April 29, 2006. I turned 20. It was a great day. My mom came up and we spent the day together; along with my two best friends and my boyfriend. Loren and her husband, Josh, let us use their apartment for a surprise party that they threw for me and Jolene (aka Beanie) got me some beaded curtains. Mom was mom and got me some really weird gifts, including food for my room. My brother, Joe, sent me a porcelain doll. She is beautiful. Jonathan's gift was the one I looked forward to most. He told all of my friends what he was getting me and they tortured me with it for about 2 weeks. Everytime I would see them they would tease me about knowing what i was getting. On the day of my birthday, he made me open everyone else's present and then told me that he didn't get me anything. I asked again and he said, "I told you I didn't get you anything". I walked out of the room, (not mad but just for dramatic effect), and then back in. I was standing in front of the door way waiting for my present. Jon slid off the coach to pick up a camera and then I realized that he was down on one knee in front of me. After he was able to pull my hands from my face, he proposed. It was the sweetest thing ever. It was simple and yet well played. It wasn't even planned that way but it was the perfect moment. After I shook and said yes he stood up and we hugged forever. When I finally looked over at the coach my mom, Loren, and Jolene were crying their eyes out and Daniel was tearing up. Josh walked out of the room--his wife says b/c he was going to tear up. After we were able to calm down and go on with the eating of cake and stuff we went to a campsite with mom and Daniel. We had a cookout, played volleyball, and then just relaxed. It was great. My birthday was awesome and I am extremely happy and excited. To see the pictures of my birthday...because I haven't figured out how to add them directly to LJ...just comment with your email address and I will email them to you. I'm a lil slow when it comes to uploading pics and stuff. SORRY. (My userpic is the pic of the actual proposal)
Jonathan and I have not set a date yet but we are looking at middle or late july. I hope all of you will join us.
