Prayers

I need to post a simple, happy, here's what's going on in my life post, but right now I need to ask for prayers.

I don't have an extensive friends list, so if any of you read this please pass it on to others.

My sister-in-law's niece, Jordan, is very sick. She was born about 14 years ago with congenital muscular dystrophy. She is an amazing young woman who was blessed with the most incredible family to care for her. She's been in a wheelchair most of her life, but she has never been held back from anything. She has a computer that helps her communicate with those around her. She loves to get into water gun fights with her cousins. When she wanted to take dance lessons, she did and learned to twirl in her chair with all the other students. She goes to the mall and the movies and has sleepovers. She always has the biggest smile on her face and is ready to make fun of my brother and laugh with her older sisters. She is - simply - a wonderful and inspiring person.

Yesterday, Jordan was airlifted to Childrens Hospital here in St. Louis. She stopped breathing yesterday, and her mom called 911 and gave her CPR until they arrived. She's on life support now. The doctor's estimate that she went about 10 minutes without oxygen. There's little to no brain activity, and I just spoke with my brother and she's not expected to make it through the day.

Please, if you're the praying type, say prayers for Jordan and her family. My heart is breaking for them, and this is the only thing I can think of to do.
