- As much as I don't like seeing kickedpuppy!Doctor, I really think this scene shows a lot of growth in him. It means that he hasn't just skimmed over what happened to Martha as another "busy life, moving on" sort of thing - he feels sorry for his actions, something we haven't really seen him do before.
