loving Island Pond Road life!!
It's been 4 months in our new apartment and I am BLISSFULLY happy. Seriously!! Our landlord is awesome, he is very responsive, he is laid back, he takes great care of the property, and he's NOT crazy/on drugs. I come home every day, pull into MY OWN DRIVEWAY (which is VERY exciting), and when I get out of the car I am surrounded by a wonderful aroma of lilacs from the lilac trees lining the driveway. I can walk around our neighborhood and the air carry's that "neighborhood" smell which is a mix of flowers, cut grass, bark mulch, and crisp air. We also have our own grill which has been AWESOME and a huge backyard where we plan on having many cookouts and hang outs with friends and family. I seriously feel like I am in heaven.
Another amazing thing is living completely devoid of ANY drama! No landlord drama, no work drama, no friends/family drama. I mean, I am not saying every morning I wake up in a perfect existence but there is no more unnecessary drama surrounding us anymore which is important to me since I am working 40-50 hours a week not including the 5 hours a week I am commuting from both jobs to home. I don't have much free time, so when I do I want to spend it with my husband and my family and my friends and just have it be simple and fun.
My FT job is starting to pick up which is great considering that I fear when I am sitting around that I am going to get laid off at any second. I'm back in the spa doing makeup and skincare and pedicures and it feels great! The extra money is mostly going to fund some tattoos I really want. I'm VERY excited about the two I have planned.
I'm very excited for July so that I can enjoy a much needed vacation with my husband and my bestest of best friends. It's also a great bonus to get a Toronto fix. I miss that city so much, the time I spent there was some of the best times of my life.
