All moved in!!
We're all moved out of the apartment!! NO MORE SLUMLORD! Hooray!
We got the couch out without a hitch and it went easily into the new place. Thank god because this couch is the best.
We had 9 people helping us move so eventhough I was pretty useless it went extremely well. Gary got us a truck from his work which was so awesome. It was like a tornado, everything was moved in a flash. The couch lowering project was WONDERFUL! They lowered it over the porch with a rope and it was the easiest thing! I was so nervous.
So thanks to Sean, Martin, Jed, Jesse, Kyle Sr., Aaron, Janine, and especially Gary and Kara we are all moved in!! Kara and I unpacked a lot of stuff yesterday too! We had the kitchen all set up by 5! My parents came over to help and brought us some cold cuts and italian pastries. My Dad also made a sauce so I could focus on finishing up and not have to cook today! I was up late last night trying to put together some furniture and decorating my new coffee table and I got choked up! Thanks to my friends and family we are almost all settled in and honestly, I would be lost without all of them. They're always here when I need help and I feel very blessed.
We also found out that Aaron and Janine know our landlord. He isn't a drug addict so that is a bonus already! He is good friends with their close friend so they've hung out before at parties. They said he's funny and pretty laid back. Aaron also said he is VERY excited to have some epic parties in the backyard, SO AM I! We have a perfect wiffleball yard. Now we'll just need a grill when spring comes around.
I'm getting used to the new noises in the apartment. The fridge makes some noises that I'm not used yet so it scared me a little last night. Alfredo is already completely adjusted. He hasn't been hiding or anything. So I'm glad that is settled too! So we're almost done unpacking. We'll be done by today. Then I can lay around tomorrow and work from home. Thank god!!
