The thing I start to worry about these days is how much of the shared illusions we have about the world really matter. There's no physical component to the concept of society, the only way we can tell its there is the way we interact with each other under the assumed rules of interaction. Sometimes I think I can follow what you mean. Then you go use words like "Zeitgeist-y" and it messes up my context.

Also, you mixed a metaphor, but let me extend it: fields must lay fallow sometimes before they become fertile again. If you work that land way too hard, it loses anything nutritious for what you want to grow.

Zeitgiest, spirit of the age, reference to Hegel's philosophy of history and also while not directly named, mentioned in Hagakure as a major idea.

Yeah fair enough. Sounds like that's the deal irregardless.

I understand the word Zeitgeist, just not the context in which you use it. No matter, t'ain't my blog.

almost too philosophical for 12AM, but then, you're not regularly asleep by then, so nm. :)

You make sense. don't worry about the sentence structure. it's a blog. I think there are rules against proper sentence structure for non-commercial blogs. ;)
