Cash Goes to the Doc and I Go Shopping....
I took Cash in and hopefully he is okay and will pass an emissions test now... while they did the repair, I walked to one of my favorite stores, Antiques & Beyond, better known as A&B, on Cheshire Bridge. I was looking for a gift for one of my clients and think I am going to give her this beautiful tea tin (if I can bare to part with it) filled with something yummy.
The little mug was under 5.00 and I thought would be wonderful on my desk or as a planter. The book, well, I remember that exact illustration from one of my Mother's childhood books, which she use to read too us from. I plan to scan this image and make a beautiful print for her....so she is done. The find of the day were these two wallets, circa the late 60's. In almost perfect condition, they were not super cheap but to find ones in new condition is crazy. Note they still had the original ad inside and pen! Also the owner of the booth, Chaz, was there and gave me 15% off. I plan to keep the checkbook one and give the smaller one to my niece for Christmas, so two in one, for just less than 30.00.
