we met k. last night. she's not particularly awkward. she's not particularly strange. she's not particularly anything really. her eyes have a dreamy watery look of someone who is a fry short of a happy meal [in a completely benign way]. she thinks her life is interesting enough for a memoir but she also thinks her 3rd child was an antibiotic baby

yea. there's no scientific evidence showing that antibiotics affect birth control. the only exception is rifampicin which is used to treat tuberculosis. the only real antibiotic-BC connection lies in vomiting. sick women are likely to throw up more, potentially vomiting their daily pill, sometimes for days at a time.

right? that struck me as strange as well. but i've seen kids who qualify for free-lunch (at or below 130% of the poverty level) in their schools being gifted coach sneakers and LV bags for their birthdays, so maybe? idk...

It's not just that.... because yes, there are all sorts of reasons to be homeless and everyone wants cool stuff. But the whole thing feels.... weird.

true, i kind of sounded like an asshole there actually. anyway, i could think of a 100 ways for why someone can have an ipad and end up in a shelter. shit happens... but something seems off to me. i don't think i'm going to e-mail/call her. bah.
