i got the job.
i'll be teaching a reading and writing class to 6th and 7th graders every saturday until june 11th. in addition i'll be doing one on one tutoring every alternate saturday. the job is at private tutoring center and there's no set curriculum. i'll have complete creative reign over what/how i teach. this is simultaneously amazing and intimidating considering it's my first class ever.
the pay is good and it'll go up in december when i'll be done with all my certification exams.
the one huge downside is that they only gave me one class. 12 hours of work a *month* is not going to do much to change our financial situation.
