Ok, yes, I'm having my annual post-halloween blahs...but I'm happy to say that the "funk" I was in last week has lessened considerably. I'm now trying to forget Halloween and look ahead to the coming Holiday season.
As for Halloween itself, it was fun. I spent Saturday night at Vern's Annual Halloween extravaganza. I dressed up as a creepy, weird, religious prairie type--complete with a big, black bonnet. Some got it, others didn't. That's ok, I think I managed to achieve the "creepy" part pretty well though. I believe I even said I was the "dark Holly Hobbie". eh.
Sunday I had another Kirkin' of the Tartans to play for, and then a Comm. Band concert. whew. I was glad to get that day over with, it was just way too much.
I took off work at lunch on Monday, then headed over to my friend's house to watch horror movies and eat some Halloween goodies. We watched some good stuff and some not so good stuff. I loved "Feast" the first time I saw it, but "Feast 2"...uh, not so much. I couldn't figure out if there was a plot or not, and that was 3/4 of the way through the flick. Oh well.
They had about 4 trick-or-treaters, and that was more than I get at my own house, so that was fun.
I got home at a reasonable hour to go to bed, but my sleep was interrupted around 1:00am when the smoke detector battery decided to die...and beep...and beep...and beep...until I had to climb out of bed and kill it.
Ugh.
Looking ahead, I'm going to Crown this weekend, although I'm not looking forward to the 8 hr. drive. Did you know that I could get to Florida almost quicker than going to Northern Atlantia? sheesh. It gets pricey, all these Northern events. I know everyone there loves it, but dang. Hawkwood is just far away from just about everywhere. Oh, except TN and SC.
Hope to see a few of you there. :)
