I ran across this on Tumblr and thought I would give it a shot over here. Feel free to snag and fill out on your own page.
Weird Band Blog Questions
If you were a TV producer and you had to choose 5 band members to live together for a reality show, who would you choose? I would say the guys from U2, but I kinda think the boys from Duran Duran would be more interesting. So....John Taylor, Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes, Roger Taylor, and the fifth slot could either go to Andy Taylor or Dom Brown as they have both been fifth members
If you had to get lyrics tattooed on your body, which lyrics would they be? Breathe from either U2's Breathe or Ingrid Michaelson's Keep Breathing
Older music or newer music? I like both, but I suppose I'd go with older if I had to choose.
What would you do if you worked at a restaurant and your favorite band showed up? I'd probably have a fit, but then would be too nervous to say anything to them. Although you never know...I did talk to Cary and Greg so I suppose I might freak out then calm down and then find the right moment to say hello and say how much I like their music.
Have you ever written a letter or given a gift to a band member? I don't think so. I can remember writing to celebrities as a teen, but I don't think any of them were musicians.
What 3 songs make you ridiculously happy? U2's Where the Streets Have No Name (especially any live version), Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero's Home, and Julian Lennon's Someday
If you were in a band, what instrument would you play? Well, I've always wanted to play guitar.
Favorite band member of all time? Hands down....Adam Clayton :D
Have you ever gotten a tweet from your favorite band? Not my favorite band, but I have gotten a couple of tweets from John Taylor from Duran Duran as well as one from Cary Brothers and a handful from Greg Laswell. Oh yeah, and a couple from Elliott Jacobson who plays drums for Ingrid Michaelson.
Have you met your favorite band yet? Nope and I don't imagine I ever will, but one can hope. ;)
Name three bands you can't stand. Marilyn Manson, Pearl Jam (particularly Eddie Vedder), and Public Enemy
Did you go through an embarrassing scene or emo phase? Well, I do cringe when I think about some of the boyband music I liked as a kid and some of the country music I listened to in high school.
How do you feel about bands that never change their sound? If you've got a good thing going, then why mess with it?
How do you feel about bands who have gone in a completely different direction with their sound? I think it can be fine as long as it's done right. It can keep things fresh and new.
Have you ever had a bad concert experience?Nope.
How many songs do you have on your ipod/phone/whatever right now? Well my iPod is currently dead, but it had a ton of songs on it. My iPhone has around 133 songs on it.
What was the first song from your favorite band that you've ever heard? Well my favorite band is U2 and I guess the first thing I heard from them was probably Where the Streets Have No Name or Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
Have you ever been stereotyped because of the type of music you listen to? Possibly. Actually I'd say probably back when I was listening to country. I stereotyped myself just as much as anyone stereotyped me.
Have you ever lost respect for a band member/band for somethign they said or did? I can't really think of anything off the top of my head.
Would you rather be a roadie or a band member? Roadie or band member's best friend. ;)
Have you ever listened to a few seconds of a song and just thought "fuck no." and turned it off? Why yes, yes I have. LOL! The main one that comes to mind would be U2's Redlight. OMG! That song is horrid! And that's so hard to say about them, but yeah...it's just BAD!
Are you good at songwriting? No, I don't think so.
Guitar or Bass? I've always wanted to play guitar, but I've become more interested in the bass over the past couple of years, so I'd love to give both a try.
