This is really subtle and moody. Nice work!

Wow, really interesting take on the prompt, i think you have a really unique imagination with the little scenarios you conjure up here in this piece, and the direction that you take it in, it's so well put together.

They first time the sinking
A small typo with that ‘y’?

I liked the gritty feel of this and how their relationship developed. This was well-written; the characters were very in character, making it able to be imagined as I read.

I adore this prompt and basically think there can never be too many takes on it. There's a particularly bitter edge to yours, which I like. Your sparse style makes it all feel very stark, and the last line comes like a slap.

Love so many details about the universe you paint out--the Doctor's feelings of time coming apart, the Silence becoming more agressive, the hair, the truce.

This prompt! I want everyone to write their own fic for it. Everyone. Then there should be some sort of post where people could discuss characterisation choices and such.

I couldn't shake the feeling that the Doctor would be (I think) very bitter, and it really, really showed. (I nearly didn't post this because that was not what the prompt was about.) I'm glad it wasn't a huge turn-off.

Lol! That's actually kinda a cool idea. I mean both in general and for this prompt specifically.

Oh, geeze, no! I can't see him not being bitter (as he told Amy: "People are going to die; I will not thank you for that!") and you did great things with it. Besides, a prompt is a prompt: if it inspires fic, it's done its job.

Ikr? C'mon fandom, let's pick each other's brains!

Yeah, that quote kind of says it all.

Not sure if I've commented on this elsewhere, and I know I'm late to the party, but this is such a good story. Bleak and subtle and dark, very well written.

There's no such thing as being late to the party! :)

And thank you, that means a lot -- I always admire your stuff!
