On a non-fic related note
So, some idiot basically tried to kill me.
Well, not me specifically. But I noticed, about 2 days ago, a strange rumbling noise coming from the rear of my little Honda Civic, and I finally had time to take it in this morning and have it checked out, and the oil changed.
When the guy came out he gave me kind of a weird look and proceeded to reveal that someone had removed two lug nuts and loosened the other two on the right rear tire.
Trying to steal the hubcaps, apparently. By partially detaching the tire from the wheel.
Christ, my life is weird.
Fortunately I am still alive. The tire did not detach and I did not veer into a fiery apocalyptic collision on an icy Ohio highway under a cloudy and pitiless sky. Which pleases me.
What does not please me is the fact that I will almost certainly be unable to find out who's responsible for endangering not only my life, but the lives of every other person unfortunate enough to be on the road with me the past few days. I mean, I know people are evil, selfish, self-serving bastards, but damn.
Anyway, the lesson here is: CHECK YOUR LUG NUTS IF YOU ARE HEARING A WEIRD RUMBLING NOISE WHEN YOU DRIVE.
