I had an ex who used to say it all the time. That, and boughten. Some of my best friend's friends also seem to think it is okay to say these things when IT IS NOT. So now I'm like, SPEAK THESE WORDS AND YOUR LIFE IS FORFEIT.
Honestly, I think I prefer "brung" at this point. IDEK, but somehow it isn't as painful to hear.
I actually don't care too much if people say them, it bugs me a lot more to see them in print. Because the standards should be a *teensy* bit higher, methinks.
That's true. It's just one of those things that annoys on the same level loose/lose seems to bug you, is all. In print, my biggest pet peeve seems to be ellipses. GOD ... DAMN ... IT ... PEOPLE ... STOP ABUSING THEM!
Nah. If you've done it, it wasn't noteworthy for me. It's mostly when people use them in place of EVERY. SINGLE. punctuation mark ever because they apparently hate commas and think periods can never have enough friends. Or when they think there can never be enough dots.........................
COME TO THE DARK SIDE. >:D
