I know that it sometimes takes a bit longer to get everything out but then again it is two weeks late. What happens with the stuff inside of me? I always get the feeling that as soon as it gets detached from the uterus wall it will start to rot because there no longer is a connection to the body.
okay this is gross...but since you shared your story, I'm gonna share mine
After I had exil1 (that was almost 12 years ago) I was still in the hospital and went for some tinkle time, sat down...and out came a bloody glob that scared me to death.....I thought it was my liver or something so I pulled the emergency cord by the toilet and in ran two nurses, they took a look and said "Oh, no biggie, just a blood clot"
OMG....I thought I had just delivered an internal organ and all I got was "no biggie"
Oh, that really sounds scary. I heard a story about a mom who was sent home two days after giving birth and she started to bleed at some point and passed out. She nearly was in a coma when her brother found her. So I think it was all ok for you to pull the emergency cord. Nurses (and docs) sometimes have a nerve of talking as if nothing happened.
