Stereo Fucking Rose.
Maybe two people here actually understand the madness, but did anyone else snag one?
I ordered mine on the MAC website Tuesday within half an hour of Temptalia's announcement. My order went through, no problem. However, in the late evening, I got a notice that it was backordered. And of course, by the time I got the notice, every other site had sold out (Macy's, Bloomingdale's, and Nordstroms). I called MAC counters across Houston, and no one would hold it for me, or they said they were all held. :(
This morning, I called to have stores hold it for me since so many told me they would not in advance. :/ I called nearly ten stores. No one had it, or they had it held for other customers. (And of course, I got the bitchy gay man who worked at a store I called yesterday who wouldn't do a hold until the day of and when asked how many he had, he snottily responded, "I can't tell you since I have to help other clients.") Frustrating given how I called stores previously and they said no holds.
Thankfully, heartflood said she would pick one up for me in Boston. However, after hearing horror stories, I had made back up plans. xD I begged my brother days before to see if he could pick one up for me at the mall that he works out. He said he'll try, so I immediately wrote that one off since he probably would swing by casually after work. :B
heartflood got one for me and one for her! I was soooo happy! And right after, my brother texted me and said he picked one up as well. I'm seriously shocked that he got one. Even after those Macy's girls said they couldn't do a hold and they expected their MOST LOYALEST AWESOME customer to buy so many. *rolls eyes*
I'll probably keep one as a back up; if not, I'll give it to my sister. :)
All in all, getting this MSF has been a fucking nightmare. Thanks to heartflood's efforts and my bro's (hay, lemme saunter by the counter in the afternoon), I got the beloved. What a nightmare.
Marine Life was such an easy buy compared to Stereo Rose. I remember going to the store on a Saturday, and the counter had an abundance of Marine Life.
I truly hope that people who want this will be able to get it. I cannot believe just how difficult it was to get, and it infuriates me to see people scalping them on eBay. D:
