I adopted a cat today and will not bring him into my home until December when I am settled into my new place.
I am so excited and so happy to have a pet! And it's so weird because I thought I was totally a dog person, but I guess I like cats quite a bit! (I like dogs, too, but I like big dogs, and apartments are not conducive to big dogs, period.)
Ashlin was found on the streets with his two other siblings. Dogs had killed his other littermates.
He's a pretty big kitty -- less than a year old. :) His birthday appears to be sometime in July. I don't think people really know exactly when because he was rescued from the streets.
Anyway, here's a blurry pic of Ashlin and me that Norma took:

I can't wait to have him live with me. :)
