So I have a TA interview in Cambridge next Monday, which I've had no time to prepare for. I figured it'd be a similar set up to my one last year, which involved a tour, a student panel interview and a teacher interview. EXCEPT NO.
In many ways this seems better - it's individual for the tour so you don't have to worry about speaking up over the other applicants, and there is no student panel - though being interviewed by 11 year olds WAS pretty awesome. Except this not only has a half an hour interview (!) but a 20 minute 'task.'
What the frick is this task?
Is it a teaching task? Is it a design a I.E.P for a child with special needs?
Ordinarily, this wouldn't be such a big deal, but I haven't had a chance to plan for this interview yet due to my Latin exams, and now I'm a leetle bit concerned. I've had to do a fake lesson before for that PGCE interview way back when, but I feel a little out of my depth for this.
Opinions?
