Reading "The Secret Garden" for February's bookclub. Read it, own it, saw the movie(s). Luckily, it's been a while so, with my memory, it may be like the first time!
I hosted book club this past Friday. There were 5 of the 9 of us. The book was "The Lovely Bones" and a theme dinner was right out. Good discussion. Good company.
Husband's at a record show this morning. He always leaves at 5:30 in the morning, and this morning i woke up due to a bad dream....too much "Ghost Whisperer" yesterday.
In my dream i was in a car driving down a city street and then i saw a little leg torn from a body. then a baby's foot, then a boy without a leg lying on his right side facing me, then another boy clenching a baby, again, he was lying on his right side facing me, all had their eyes closed, frozen in death. I jolted awake and texted the hubby to text me when he gets settled in the space. i couldn't go back to sleep. still waiting to hear from him.
Looking through some books on my side of the bed, i picked up my Dictionary of Philosophy this morning...why? i have no idea. Read the definition of existentialism because that's all i could think to look up.
Really i'm just passing time while i wait for the daughter to get up.
I am still learning to be alone with myself.
