-New TV-
Favorite Character: Liz Lemon
Favorite Ship: Liz + Jack
I just recently started watching 30Rock on Netflix and was surprised at how consistently hilarious it is! It's also one of those shows that gets funnier as it goes on due to the inside jokes and familiarity with each character's idiosyncrasies.
Favorite Character: Naomi Clark
Favorite Ship: Naomi + Liam, Dixon + Silver, Navid + Ade
I watched a few episodes of season one but could never get that into it. However, S2 has been really good and I'm actually able to get into the storylines. The show is starting to become what a good teen soap should be.
Favorite Character: Artie, Emma, Quinn, Finn, and "Other Asian"
Favorite Ship: Will + Emma, Rachel + Finn, Puck + Quinn
I won't elaborate because I know Glee is on everyone's list this year.
Favorite Character: Abby, Henry, and Trish.
Favorite Ships: Abby + Jimmy, Chloe + Cal (AWW)
I also found this show on Netflix and watched all the episodes straight through in one day. SO GOOD! I was so intrigued and I loved the murder mystery and the end result was unique and satisfying. I hope they can somehow make another series and tie it into the first, maybe with the creepy little girl!
Favorite Character: Ella Simms
Favorite Ship: Jonah + Ella, Lauren + David
I also wanted to watch this just for the lulz but Katie Cassidy's Ella was too awesome for that to happen. Her snark and sophistication are the best parts of the show.
Favorite Character: Arthur
Favorite Ship: Arthur + Gwen
During S1 I was all about the Arthur/Merlin slash but ever since they introduced A/G in a total unexpected way (I made a whole picspam about it) I've been smitten with them. Also, Bradley James is the best Arthur of all time. OF ALL TIME.
Favorite Character: Nathan
Favorite Ship: Aliesha + Curtis
I just discovered this show and despite its ridiculous premise it is actually really good! I love the action elements, and especially loved the editing/soundtrack for Curtis' episode. I just wish there were more than 6 episodes per season.
Favorite Character: OMG ALL OF THEM.
Favorite Ship: Henry + Casey
I'm surprised more people, especially Veronica Mars fans, haven't heard of this show! It's hilarious and it's like a VM reunion every week! In fact the finale in which Kristen Bell guest starred was probably my favorite episode. Also, how can all the Jane Lynch admirers from Glee not know about how fantastic she was on Party Down?
Favorite Character: Jessica Hamby, Sam Merlotte, and Jason Stackhouse
Favorite Ship: Jessica + Hoyt
I adore this show and all its southern charm and campy humor. It takes a very dark subject matter and showcases it in an incredibly sexy way but still with an impeccable sense of humor. It also is probably the first 'vampire' show that is easily accessible to people who don't consider themselves huge vampire fans.
-MOVIES-
Yes. I thought Fired Up! was the funniest thing ever. Shut up.
-BOOKS + DREAM CAST-
I haven't seen the movie and while I'm sure Claire Danes and Charlie Cox do a great job, I couldn't help but picturing Justin Long and Alison Lohman as the leads. I think it's because I picture Claire to be more demure, like the perfect 'star', while Yvaine had such a spunky personality that I see Alison embodying quite nicely. Also, Tristan isn't a typical "dashing" hero type but still adorable in his own way, much like Justin.
I love Leo, but I hate when characters are cast in direct contrast to how they are physically described in the book (coughJENNYHUMPHREYcough). Richard is supposed to be a dark haired brit, and when I think of a dark haired british globetrotter my mind thinks of Ed Westwick. Not Chuck Bass, mind you... but hairy-chested tummy-scratching Ed Westwick. Don't ask. Rachel Bilson would make a perfect innocent-yet-seductive Francoise and Orlando Bloom as her affable companion, Etienne.
First of all, this book! Gah! So epic. I don't agree w/ Rand's philosophies but I liked the actual architecture parts of it (I know it's supposed to be a metaphor, but I really liked those parts). As a designer I felt like I could relate to Roark's dilemma. Also, Dominique is the ultimate HBIC and they are my ultimate OTP, they are so full of awesome. I instantly pictured Kate Bosworth as Dominique based on the descriptions in the book, and then Ryan Gosling seemed like a good choice for Roark given the previous roles he's played and of course, I could not picture anybody but Matthew Goode for the golden-boy, Peter Keating.
Fart Party is a comic by this girl named Julia Wertz and strangely her life and relationship is eerily similar to mine. So, if I couldn't cast myself in a movie version (which, duh, I can't) I would without even thinking pick Ellen Page. Julia is like an even more sarcastic and blunt version of Juno, and Jim Sturgess would be perfect as her nerdy but adorable boyfriend Oliver.
The casts for both of these are pretty much perfect, and I didn't imagine anyone else while reading it!

-OLD FAVORITES, STILL GOING STRONG-
UNF, can I just say that S4 of Ugly Betty is so good? I'm glad the show is back to its S1 splendor.
Because, yeah, C+B are the only things I care about on that show.
