[o51] pop my john cho-ner

For picspammy's "Something Different" challenge, I have to say my only true limits are basically not doing anything involving Leighton Meester, Rachel Bilson, or Kristen Bell. So in the broader sense, I decided to give my girl crushes a break and let my baser human needs (aka sexual attraction to gawgeous men) take over. I've always had a little crush on John Cho, but lately, probably due to the fact that the man is EVERYWHERE, it's grown into more of a fan-girl obsession. Seriously, my friends will not go see Star Trek with my anymore due to my squealing.

Anyway, John Cho just seems so under-appreciated (especially next to Pinto) so here's several colorful reasons why you should all love the man:

John is, in my opinion, one of his generation's better actors because of his ability to excel both at comedic and dramatic acting. Star Trek was his chance to combine the two, which he did to much success despite his limited screen-time. The fact that Sulu's fencing moves totally saved Kirk's ass was just as hilarious as it was bad-ass. Also, we all know I love a man/woman/thing with legs in the color yellow.

The classic. After a small role in American Pie; John headlined his first major comedy franchise. This is probably where my love for Mr. Cho got started. First of all, the movies are undeniably funny. Secondly, the chemistry between John Cho and Kal Penn is just, ridiculous. They should never be apart. Thirdly, NEIL PATRICK HARRIS. Fourthly, how adorable is straight-laced stereotypical(yet not) Harold and his sweaters?

Demetri Noh is the latest and probably my favorite role of John Cho's. Let's face it; the roles of Sulu and Harold are undeniable asian. My worst fear is for John to be typecast as "that asian guy", but Demetri's character clearly exists outside of his race. In fact, they never even mention it, which I love. Also, Demetri is complex, and totally rash/can-be-an-ass and I have a thing for touchy male characters (see: Arthur and Chuck). Is it bad that I found it hot when he grabbed that blonde girl by the head? He also looks really good with Gabrielle Union and needs to wear thin jersey t-shirts ALL the time.

John needs more print publicity! I have a feeling because of FF, it's totally on the way. Also, can we note that I've never seen a hair-cut that looks bad on this guy.

Seeing these pictures made me realize how well this man photographs, without all that airbrushing and photoshop. Seriously, he DOES NOT AGE.

Lest I forget; I love that a few years ago before ST and FF, you could find this guy everywhere in small TV roles without even trying. It was nice to see John pop-up on my favorite shows, both as Marshall's co-worker on HIMYM and Harry Grubstick's on Ugly Betty. Also, can't forget the first thing I ever saw him in, years and years ago - MTV's made-for-tv super-asian movie, Better Luck Tomorrow.

I'm sorry this is just one of the cutest things I've ever seen.

The man keeps good company. Major squeal-age over John/George Takei; John with the rest of gawgeous ST cast; his soul-mate Kal; and new co-stars Dominic Monaghan and Joseph Fiennes.

UNF. I save the best for last. 'Nuff said.
