Long awaited updates......
It's been quite some time since my last update, so I guess it's time to recap on things.
Last week was a week filled with working every day non-stop. The only day I had off was this past Sunday. It's been a crazy time in the store, but for the most part everyone has been wonderful, except for one of course. I don't want to think about the one person who does nerve me slightly, but I guess it goes to show you that there is at least one person like that in every job you choose to do. The good news is Gabrielle will be keeping me on after Christmas. For how long remains uncertain, but at least I still have a job, and it's one less thing I have to worry about. I'm still working on the job searching, so hopefully something will come about here really soon.
Anyway, Saturday after work I headed over to Sayuri and Rachel's house down on campus for their Christmas party and to give Alison her birthday present. It was a fun time for the most part, but I didn't get home until 2:30 in the morning, and I wanted to get an early start the next morning. There were some annoyances of the evening, but I knew that was going to happen, but I got to catch up with a few people I hadn't seen in awhile. I would have liked to have gone to Matt's party as well as Dianna's, but my schedule didn't allow it to happen the way I wanted it to.
Sunday morning, woke up kinda in a frantic state. I slept in too late, but Tricia took it well. We drove down to Jeffersonville to finish some Christmas shopping at the outlet stores. I saw this really cute shirt that I REALLY wanted, but couldn't justify spending $7.50 for shipping on just one shirt. I got the rest of my shopping done, and Tricia managed to find a really nice winter coat for a true bargain. That was awesome, plus to top it off these huge ass cookies she bought before we headed home. Another trip is in the works sometime after Christmas and this time we'll meet up with Andree and drag Leslie with us too. Sunday night I got together with Sarah to exchange Christmas gifts and receive my very belated birthday gift from her. I got the Mannehim Steamroller cd of Joy to the World as well as some Christmas glasses since she knows that I love to entertain in my apartment when I can.
Monday- now, I've been working each day this week. I don't have a day off now until Christmas, but the way I see it, this is a paycheck and it's a job that is keeping me from having any gaps in my resume. Plus, Monday I got to have lunch with Leslie. I've missed that girl. I was able to give her her Christmas gift and she said mine should be arriving here soon, so I guess we'll find out soon enough what that is. I go into work in a few hours, but I did want to provide an update while I had the time here. It's very quiet around here, but since it's so peaceful it just makes for a nice morning so far. I was going to drive to my parents house to bring over the cheesecakes I bought, but maybe I'll do that either before or after Tricia and I have lunch tomorrow as well as our gift exchange.
