I figured, "Eh, I'm gonna ask some friends on facebook if they wanna head to the Municipal Spray Park on Friday night to hang out and have a little fun for my birthday." I did that a few days ago.
Then I started talking to my sister. It's now ballooned to an 'Event', titled Basketball-Wine-Box-Thug-Easter-Egg-Dyeing Party.
Bail on whatever the heck you planned for on this Friday and come to the Municipal Park to watch people who can't play basketball try and play basketball. The weather: chance of rain, 50 F/30 F. Bring a thick warm hoodie that'll make the police come by, wondering why the hell an almost-37 year old is celebrating her birthday with a group predominately made up of late 20's/30-somethings/perhaps a couple 40+s at a park. Whoever brings a basketball gets a juice wine box from my sister.
Anyone here's invited, if they wanna make the drive/have an extra grand kicking around to take a flight in/doesn't mind the possibility of landing in my town paper's police log. :D
