You know what sucked today? Today. Today really sucked. Work was okay but I'm still having numerous issues (I've talked enough about that) and our phone/internet has been a PITA because a cement mixer ripped down a section of phone lines AND their poles in the park today. Repeat: a CEMENT MIXER RIPPED DOWN A SECTION OF PHONE LINES AND THEIR POLES IN THE PARK. The lumbering machine, driven by someone who apparently has no depth perception was bringin' 'round some o' dat see-ment to the other side of the lot, where they're putting in a new trailer. It proceeded to go a bit past our house, snag into the lines above and bring down a pole or two onto some houses. Luckily, the poles are more matchsticks than redwoods, but it still made a fuss. Weird thing was, it'd happened just as we were leaving the house and I didn't notice.
The phone company was here all friggin' day, our internet/phone seemed FINE but then cut out around 3 o'clock after Pan left to help the neighbors bring their freaking cat to the vet (cos' we fucking chauffeurs) and he went to his lesson, which I'd forgotten about so I was flipping out about everything, had some nervous breakdowny stuff and stopped crying about my lack of internet about an hour ago.
This shit always happens to me, or at least I'm involved in some small, minute way. It can't be "oops, I dropped a quarter!" but "OMFG TELEPHONE POLES ARE FALLING ALL OVER THE FUCKING PLACE"...fml. Thank god we get paid tomorrow. Not that we'll actually HAVE any money once things are said and done, but still.
